Daily during your stay

Your breakfast and dinner are served in the hotel restaurant. Your

mornings and afternoons are free for optional safaris from our

weekly program. You can also hire snowshoes or cross-country skis

from our Reception – free of charge.

Day 1 – Arrival to Harriniva

Arrival at Kittilä airport, transfer to Hotel Harriniva, Muonio. On your

arrival, reception will issue you with your Aurora Alarm-application.

Dinner in the hotel restaurant and overnight in cozy double rooms.

Day 2 – Aurora snowmobile adventure

In the evening we will drive by snowmobile to the best location for

spotting the Northern Lights that evening where you will enjoy

some warm drinks and feel how the sky is closer and the stars

brighter.

Day 3 – Secrets of the Northern Lights and Aurora Snowshoeing

In the afternoon join us in our traditional Lappish kota to cook

pancakes over the open fire. Meet with your local guide who will

give you information about the hotel, activities and the local area.

You will be given an informative workshop of the fascinating

phenomenon of the Northern Lights and the science behind them.

In the evening you will have a chance to try out a traditional modes

of transport snowshoeing as we head out into the forest away from

the light pollution. Hot drinks are included in the safari.

Day 4 – Northern Lights explorer by minibus

This evening we will head out by minibus on a hunt for the lights.

Beforehand we will check the weather forecast and the Aurora

activity in the area and head for the best location. Hot drinks are

included in the safari.

Day 5 – Husky night adventure

The adventure continues tonight with a visit to our husky farm.

After enjoying a 9km safari hot drinks will be served round the fire

whilst we warm up and keep a look out for a display of the

Northern lights.

Day 6 – Reindeer Aurora experience

Tonight we are off to the reindeer farm; we will settle down into a

reindeer sleigh and enjoy being pulled through the silent forest

away from the light pollution. After the tour hot drinks are served

in a Lappish kota.

Day 7 – Farewell dinner and Northern Lights bonus hunt

This evening an upgraded farewell dinner will be served with

Lappish delicacies while you reminisce of the week gone by. Later

in the evening we will head out on a bonus hunt. Your local guide

will decide in resort which mode of transport will give you the

greatest chance for spotting the Northern Lights!

Day 8 – Departure

Breakfast and transfer to Kittilä airport.

This is a sample itinerary, a full itinerary will be given in resort. We hold

the right for changes in the program itinerary according to weather

conditions.

1670€ / person in a double room (18.3.-21.4.2018)

1790€ / person in a double room (6.1.-17.3.2018)

Supplementary night:

95€ / person in double room with half board

140€ / person in single room with half board

Single travelers:

Single supplement: 315€ / person (single room)

Single use of snowmobile: 35€ / person (obligatory for all single travelers)

Reduction: 105€ / 3rd adult sharing a room

Children: Reduction for children 4-12 years 40% when in the same room with 2 adults, with 1 adult 25%. Please note that

children under 18 years cannot drive the snowmobile and small children cannot drive the husky team. They will be sitting in

the guide’s sled during the safaris.

Transfer supplement for other than scheduled domestic flights: 40€ / person / way

Important information: To drive a snowmobile you must have a valid driving license, own liability is 800€.
