The words of Jesus in to- day’s Gospel of John 6:51-58 remind us that we shall live forever in a loving relaonship with Him if we feed on His Bread of Life: I am the living bread that came down from heav- en; whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give is the flesh for the life of the world. This special day allows us to quietly reflect on how the sacrament of Holy Eucha- rist empowers us to love and serve others as the Body and flesh of Jesus here on Earth. Let us receive, adore and become Eucharist for others. In the words of Pope Francis, “Let us ask Him then that this Sacrament connue to keep His presence alive in the Church and to shape our community in charity and communion, according to the Father’s heart.” Let us pray to serve others in our own community through the vocaons to which we are called. We pray especially for God’s strength and guidance for all those among us who are called to vocaons of the priesthood, religious life, or lay ecclesial ministry, in- cluding ways that we can assist them in fulfilling their callings. Please sign up to bring the Traveling Chalice to your home as you pray. Instruc- ons are at the Sacred Heart statue at the rear of the Church. B O D Y A N D B L O O D O F C H R I S T

VOCATIONS MINISTRY—On today’s Feast of Corpus Christi, Latin for Body of Christ, we revere the Holy Eucharist as the heart of our Catholic faith. The words of Jesus in to-day’s Gospel of John 6:51-58 remind us that we shall live forever in a loving relationship with Him if we feed on His Bread of Life: I am the living bread that came down from heav-en; whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give is the flesh for the life of the world.

This special day allows us to quietly reflect on how the sacrament of Holy Eucha-rist empowers us to love and serve others as the Body and flesh of Jesus here on Earth. Let us receive, adore and become Eucharist for others. In the words of Pope Francis, “Let us ask Him then that this Sacrament continue to keep His presence alive in the Church and to shape our community in charity and communion, according to the Father’s heart.”

Let us pray to serve others in our own community through the vocations to which we are called. We pray especially for God’s strength and guidance for all those among us who are called to vocations of the priesthood, religious life, or lay ecclesial ministry, in-cluding ways that we can assist them in fulfilling their callings.
