The award is a concrete testament to the relevance and effectiveness of the poverty reduction programs, projects and activities in the Province of Pangasinan.

The Seal of Good Housekeeping (SGH) is awarded to LGUs with good performance in internal housekeeping, particularly in the areas of local legislation, development planning, resource generation, allocation and utilization, customer service and human resource management and development. The Seal advances the primacy of perfor-mance, accountability, transparency and participation.

Regional Champion, Gawad Pamana ng Lahi Award (2012) conferred by the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG)

The award was due to Pangasinan’s Hall of Fame Award as Best Performing Province in Region I based on Local Governance Performance Management System (LGPMS) and Hall of Fame Award as Best Province in LGU Best Practices (Project Level) in Region 1, and as recipient of the 2011 Seal of Good Housekeeping.

Recipient of the Seal of Good Local Governance (2015 & 2016) Conferred by the DILG to the Provincial Government of Pangasinan for passing all the minimum parameters of the SGLG core components: (1) Financial Administration (2) Social Protection and (3) Disaster Preparedness and SGLG essential areas: (1) Business Friednliness and Competitiveness (2) Peace and Order and (3) Environmental Management.

3rd Place (Pangasinan Provincial Library), 2012 Search for Outstanding Library of the Philippines conferred by the National Library of the Philippines, National Committee on Library Information Services and the Philippine Librarians Association, Inc.

Recipient of the 2015 Gawad Pasasalamat sa mga Kabalikat sa Pangisdaan in recognition of the province’s significant contribution to fishery development, protection and conservation – conferred by the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (Central Office).

Recipient of the 2013 Gawad Pagkilala Award for the “Ilog Ko, Bilayen Tan Aroen Ko” project of the Provincial Government in cognizance of the project’s significant impact in the protection, conservation and sustainable development of the fishery in-dustry - conferred by the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (Regional Office I).

Champion in Protecting Carabao (2013) conferred by the Philippine Carabao Center

The only province in the country to pass and implement an ordinance for the regulation of the sale and slaughter of female carabaos.
