When younger, it appears we spent much of our time sitting

at small tables eating!

the local oracle is now into it’s7th Year and we really don’t knowwhere the time has gone!as you can see from the photos,we have known each other sincewe were really young - in fact, weare cousins and were born justtwo weeks apart (although in dif-ferent years).

Jane grew up in tonbridge, andwas always involved in local activ-ities. her family have been part oftonbridge lions club for manyyears and she became Presidentof the leo club.

after a few years in londonworking at KPmg as a humanresources manager, Jane returnedto tonbridge with her family andis now living in Kings hill. she has3 children - 2 with severe disabil-ities but continues to get involvedwith local projects. she is cur-rently on the West mallingchamber of commerce commit-tee and is working with themalling action Partnership in

helping to boost the local area.

Jane also runs a ‘bolt on’ businesssaving residential and commercialcustomers money on all their util-ity costs.

anna grew up near meophamand spent 18 years working in theoffice equipment industry inlondon. she later left the ratrace to set up her own party-plan/retail business with a shop inightham. she then started upcloud nine with suzanne whichis now based in abbey arcade butstopped to concentrate on thelocal oracle and other ventures.she has been very active in theWest malling Bni chapter and isnow part of the new rotary clubin Kings hill. living in Westmalling anna has a passion forsoul music and also co-runs thesoul survivors publication inter-viewing the likes of smokeyrobinson and mica Paris to namebut a few.

so, as you can see we are bothlocal girls and contrary to belief itis just the two of us running allaspects of the business. We uselocal printers and have a largenumber of willing distributorswho help us each month get theoracle to your door!

the idea for the local oracle wasborn when anna was manicuringJane’s nails and initially only cov-ered the new development atKings hill. over the last fewyears we have evolved and havegone from strength to strengthand currently have three editionscovering 36,000 homes and busi-nesses all within less than a 20mile radius.

We are always looking to improveand help other small local busi-nesses get a foothold on the lad-der, so please do let us know if wecan help you either by promotingyour businesses or by includingmore in the local oracle.
