THE CLIENT

The visitors of the Quezon Memorial Circle are people who come from different walks of life. People belonging to different age groups come here to relax and have fun – these are their main agendas. They want to have a break from the busy and unhealthy city life and spend time with their loved ones – family, friends, schoolmates or a partner – or just spend some alone time.

The Quezon City Memorial Circle is a national park located in Diliman, Quezon City, Metro Manila. It is bounded by a two-kilometer elliptical traffic circle known as the Elliptical Road. The Elliptical Road is accessible via six main roads, namely, Visayas Avenue, North Avenue, Quezon Avenue, East Avenue, Kalayaan Avenue and Commonwealth Avenue.

Visitors go by private vehicles or by public transportation through metered taxi cabs, jeepneys headed to Quezon City Hall (from University of the Philippines, Philcoa, Commonwealth Avenue, Fairview etc.) or buses headed to Fairview. Commuters get off at the Quezon City Hall or at the Petron gas station where there is an underpass leading to the park.

Urban Bloom – the Roots of Quezon City

Amidst the severely polluted city blooms an urban flower. Situated in the center of the hustle and bustle of Quezon City, the Quezon Memorial Circle is an urban oasis not only because of the fresh and healthy atmosphere, but also because of the recreational activities the city people can do here. The historic Quezon memorial, holding the remains of the city’s visionary founder, the late Pres. Manuel L. Quezon, sits at the center of the blooming flower. The landscaping of the park resembles petals blooming outwardly from the monument, reminding the people of the roots of the city. The outward movement further extends to the city’s main avenues. Is equally divided into two main parts – one for the adventurous and one for the laid-back, both catering to people of all ages.

Living the urban life interferes with the citizens’ time for relaxation and recreation. In the Quezon Memorial Circle, people of all ages will find a spot perfect for their kind of getaway. Whether visiting with friends, with a special someone, with the family, or going solo, anyone will surely make memories here.
