WELCOMEFrames was started in 1984 as a valve actuator company and has seen a rapid expansion in terms of its

THE FRAMES CULTURE
2019
35 years ago, in 1984, Frames was founded as a system supplier and technology house for the
upstream oil & gas industry. Our first order were 50 valve actuator control systems and we still
provide customized actuator control systems tailored to your specific needs today.
Over the decades, our portfolio has grown to deliver solutions for the challenging and changing oil & gas
fields. The conditions in oil & gas fields change over the years and become ever more challenging.
Water cuts rise, crude viscosity or density can increase, and the system can face more flow or emulsions
problems due to the use of submersible pumps. We have many years of experience in process optimization
and we developed a unique set of solutions to deal with the challenges of these changing conditions.
A world powered by renewable energy is not only possible, it is inevitable. Biogas is expected to become
a main energy source in the future. We also see an increased demand for green fuels and are investing in
the development of hydrogen solutions like electrolysers and hydrogen storage.
To maintain a healthy and clean environment for future generations, we have established the goal to
contribute to the worldwide energy needs in the most environment-friendly and sustainable way.

Our product portfolio is broad and deep. We provide specialized equipment for specific challenges in
onshore, offshore (fixed platforms) and floater (FPU, FPSO or FLNG) projects. For example, our employees
have extensive knowledge in designing and producing high-quality facilities like remote wellsites, gas/oil
gathering and treatment facilities, underground storage facilities and compression facilities.

Today’s energy market is challenging
and is subject to increasingly

conditions. Our extensive experience
in safeguarding solutions and flow
assurance applications helps us
find the smartest solutions for our
customers. Our complete range of
flow control & safeguarding solutions
includes wellsite packages,
safety-instrumented systems, chemical
injection, biofouling prevention,
hydraulic systems and services from
our automation centers, including
our valve automation center.
Produced water is a term for reservoir
water that is produced along with the
oil and gas phase. Once separated,
the water is discharged into sea
or reinjected in the reservoir. Both
methods are subject to specific
conditions and strict regulations to
prevent well contamination and water
pollution. In mature oil fields, water
content can be as high as 98% of all
produced fluids. This means, effective
water handling and treatment becomes
an increasing cost factor in the total
life cycle cost of operational assets.
Frames offers a comprehensive range
of technologies to meet the required
discharge conditions, which includes
hydrocyclones, flotation, coalescers
and media filters. Equipment is
available in standardized ‘plug and
play’ packages or tailor made to suit
the requirements of specific projects.
We provide process installations for
customers that are looking for smart
and cost effective solutions in the
biogas upgrading and CO2 capture
& utilization markets. Our ambition
is to create added value within your
waste streams. We have decades of
experience in managing and realizing
turn-key systems and solutions with
lowest total cost of ownership,

biogas upgrading and CO2 capture
installations. Our renewables range
includes CO2 capture, hydrogen,

Research & DevelopmentAt Frames, we continuously invest in research
and development through programs supported
by in-house modeling and experimentation.
We collaborate with internationally renowned
universities and knowledge institutes to expand
our ability to explore and test new technologies
and conduct in-situ field tests onshore as well
as offshore. We have successfully developed and
implemented new technologies for gas/liquid/liquid
separation, defoaming, CO2 capture/storage/reuse
and desulfurization, by using our own LAMINOL®
technology. We currently have a wide variety of
research activities such as hydrogen generation,
dehydration, purification and storage solutions,
energy savings for existing processes, treatment
of gas and produced water, developing remote
operating locations, and protecting the environment.
