Annual Report NCC
2018-19
With the Moto “Unity & Discipline “NCC has been the propeller in channelizing the
force of the youth population of India since 1948, with three clear cut aims, such as
1. Development of leadership, character, comradeship, spirit of sportsmanship
and the ideals of service.
2. To create a force of disciplined and trained man power, which in a national
emergency could be of assistance to the country.
3. To provide training for students with a view to develop in them officers like
qualities, to enable them to get commission in the armed forces.
One Armed company of NCC is functioning in the Giridari Lal Dogra Memorial Degree
college, Hiranagar for SD Cadets. Cadets enrolled were given institutional training and
can participate in adventure activities, community development programmes, various
national level and annual training camps; Sports and cultural activities etc. The NCC
Company of the College comes under 1 Armed Sqn. NCC Unit, Jammu Group of J&K
Directorate.

It is a matter of great pride and satisfaction that boys continue to show their mettle by competing along with various camps such as Republic Day Camp (R.D.C). Thal Sainik Camp (T.S.C), Army Attachment camp (A.A.C), Ek Bharat Shresht Bharat Camp (E.B.S.B.), Combined Annual Training camp (C.A.T.C), National Integration Camp (NIC) etc. These camps not only take the cadets to various places in the country but also expose them to tough training, discipline and adventures life in the camp and in the process they get the opportunity to meet the cadets from all over the country.
Proud Moments
1) Cadet Debankar Sharma of NCC first year got recommended for NDA from 33
SSB Board Bhopal, INDIA on 10/03/2019.
2) JUO Sourab Sharma has been adjudged the second Best Cadet by J&K
Directorate NCC Jammu.
Camps attended during the year:
1. Annual training camp (A.T.C) at Nagrota from 28th April to 6th May 2018, 05
Cadets attended the camp. 2. Indian Military Academy (IMA) Attachment camp at Dehradun from 13th Jun
2018 to 24th Jun 2018, 01 Cdt attended the camp. 3. Combined Annual Training camp (C.A.T.C) at Nagrota from 16th June 2018 to
25th June 2018, 05 Cadts attended the camp. 4. Basic leadership camp (B.L.C) at Nagrota from 30th July to 08th Aug. 2018, 10
Cdts attended the camp.

5. Pre thal Sainik Camp (Pre-TSC) Phase-1 at Nagrota from 20th Aug. to 29th Aug.2018, 12 Cdts attended the Camp.
6. Pre-Thal Sainik Camp (Pre-TSC) Phase-II at Nagrota from 30th Aug. to 08th Sept. 2018, 10 Cdts attended the camp.
7. Pre-Thal Sainik Camp(Pre-TSC) Phase-III at Nagrota from 09th Sept to 18th Sept. 2018, 04 Cdts attended the camp.
8. Pre-Ek Bharat Shresht Bharat (Pre-EBSB) Camp at Nagrota from 09th Sept. to 15th Sept. 2018, 02 Cdts attended the camp.
9. Ek Bharat Shresht Bharat (EBSB) camp at Gujarat from 16th Sept to 30th Sept 2018, 02 Cdts attended the camp.
10. Thal Sainik Camp (TSC) at New Delhi from 17th Sept. to 30th Sept 2018 , 01 Cdt attended the camp.
11. UK trek camp at Uttarakhand from 23rd Sept. to 2nd Oct. 2018, 06 Cdts attended the camp.
12. UP Ganga Trek camp at Uttar Pradesh from 20th Oct. to 28th Oct. 2018, 04 Cdts attended the camp.
13. Pre-National Integration Camp (Pre-NIC) at Nagrota from 10th Oct. to 19th Oct. 2018, 10 Cdts attended the camp.
14. National Integration Camp (NIC) at Nagrota from 20th Oct. 2018 to 30th Oct. 2018, 10 Cdts attended the camp.
15. Combined Annual training Camp (CATC) at Nagrota from 2nd Nov. 2018 to 11th Nov. 2018, 5 Cdts attended the camp.
16. Pre-RDC Phase-I at Nagrota from 1st to 10th Dec.2018, 10 Cdts attended the camp.
17. Pre-RDC Phase-II at Nagrota from 11th Dec to 20th Dec. 2018, 06 Cdts attended the camp.
18. Pre-RDC Phase-III at Nagrota from 21st Dec. to 30th Dec. 2018, 05 Cdts attended the camp.
19. RDC 2019 at New Delhi from 31st Dec. 2018 to 31st Jan. 2019, 04 Cdts attended the camp.
20. Advanced Leadership Camp (ALC) at Gujarat from 11th Jan to 23rd Jan 2019, 06 Cdts attended the camp.
21. Army attachment camp at Ratnuchak from 16th Jan to 30th Jan, 2019, 06 Cdts attended the camp.
Apart from Camps, NCC cadets also contribute to Social causes. Among these are:
1. During the summer Vacations, 10
cadets enrolled themselves in
Swatchhta hi Seva summer
internship and successfully
completed 100 hours for the
cleanliness of the society.

2. NCC Unit of GLDMC Hiranagar
observed cleanliness fortnight from
1st Sept. 2019 to 2nd Oct. 2019.
Activities like plantation drive,
Campus cleaning, awareness rally,
poster making competition, easy
writing competitions were held to
aware the students and public about
the benefits of clean environment.
3. Celebrated International Yoga Day in the college premises.
4. Celebrated “Swatchhta hi Seva” Pakhwada from 16th Sept. to 02nd Oct. 2018 to
mark the birth anniversary of Father of Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. Various
activities like symposium on the topic, cleaning of statues, cleaning of college
campus, Sharamdan, poster making completion, skit on surrounding
cleanliness, a visit to the adopted slum etc.

5. Peace rally is carried out on 30th
Sept 2018 to spread the message
of peace.
6. Surgical strike day is observed in
the college as “Parakaram parv”
from 27th Sept. to 29 Sept Sept.

9. Celebrated the festival of Lohri with students and the staff of the college with
great enthuasim.
10. A rally is organised on 25th Jan 2019 to aware the people about the
importance of voting on National Voter’s day.

11. A plantation drive was carried out in college premises after Cadet’s
participation in Republic day parade at Hiranagar stadium.
