መዴረኮች በግለ ዘርፍ አነሳሽነት እንዯተዘጋጁም ዋና ፀሃፊዉ ተናግረዋሌ፡፡

እንዯየክብዯታቸዉ ቅዴሚያ የሚሰጣቸዉ በግለ ዘርፍ ሊይ የሚታዩ ችግሮች

እንዯሚዘረዘሩና ከነዚህም ዉሥጥ ጥንቃቄና ሙያዊ ሃሊፊነት በተሞሊበት ሁኔታ ሇምክክር

መዴረኩ የሚሆኑ አንኳር የመወያያ አጀንዲዎች እንዯሚሇዩ አቶ እንዲሌካቸዉ ጨምረዉ

ገሌፀዋሌ፡፡

አቶ ወንዴይራዴ በበኩሊቸዉ እንዲለት በኢትዮጵያ ወተት ትኩረት ያሌተሰጠዉ ዘርፍ

ከመሆኑ የተነሳ እስከአሁን ዴረስ በቦርዴ አሌተቋቋመም፡፡ ፕሬዚዯንቱ ጨምረዉ

እንዯገሇፁት የሚመሇከታቸዉ አካሊት እንዯሚገባ ሇዘርፉ ትኩረት ቢሰጡት ሇሀገሪቱ

ኢኮኖሚያዊ እዴገት የጎሊ ሇዉጥ ሉያመጣ ይችሊሌ፡፡ በመንግስትና የግለ ዘርፍ የምክክር

መዴረክ ሉፈቱ የሚችለ በርካታ ችግሮች ምክንያት የተነሳ ከላሊዉ አገር ጋር ሲነፃፀር

በኢትዮጵያ የወተት ምርት በጣም ዝቅተኛ ሲሆን ዋጋዉ ግን ዉዴ እንዯሆነ አቶ

ወንዴይራዴ አስምረዉበታሌ ፡፡

ድ/ር አማኑኤሌ እንዯተናገሩት በአሇም ባንክ ሰር የሚገኘዉ ሇሚራ

(L.MIRA (Livestock Micro Reform in Agri-business)) የሚባሇዉ

ፕሮጀክት የግለ ዘርፍ ሊይ ያተኮረ ሆኖ የወተትና የድሮ ግብርና

ኢንተርፕራይዞች የእንሰሳት መዴሀኒትና መኖ በቀሊለ እንዱያገኙ

አሌሞ የሚሰራ ነዉ፡፡ ድ/ር አማኑኤሌ አበክረዉ እንዯተናገሩት

በእንሰሳት ህክምና እና ማራባት የተዘጋጀ አዱስ ፖሉሲ አፈፃፀምን

ECCSA said to Strengthen M&E System

Experience sharing session

Ato Endalkachew Sime, Secretary General of EC-

CSA, stated that this workshop on M&E is one of the

capacity building elements of our effort that we are

planning to have consecutive training sections at

different levels. He further elaborated that even if

Ethiopia does not have a very strong and rich culture

of M&E system; service giving institution like EC-

CSA needs it very critically. Once we motivate and

facilitate the performances of our staff, we have to

measure their performances strictly, the Secretary

General underscored.

During the two sessions of the workshop,

topics on “Highlights of the RBM approach

to M&E , Application of RBM tools, Over-

view of the Current ECCSA„s M&E Ap-

proach, and Developing a “Road Map” for

Follow-up on Needed M&E” were presented

by Bruce McPherson-CESO Volunteer Advi-

sor with the addition of his vital and practi-

cal experiences.

ECCSA Management members, PSD-HUB

staffs and experts have participated on the

workshop.

The Ethiopian Chamber Academy in partnership with Planning, Project Development and

Resource Mobilization Coordination Services Unit under Ethiopian Chamber of Com-

merce and Sectoral Associations (ECCSA), organized a workshop entitled: “Monitoring

and Evaluation Using the Result Based Management Approach” on April, 18,2017 at the

Chamber’s Board Room.

The goal of the workshop is said to offer an interactive meeting for learning and discus-

sion on implementing enhanced results based management (RBM) in monitoring and eval-

uation (M&E) systems for ECCSA.

Livestock Sector Comes to PPDAto Endalkachew Sime, Secretary General of the Ethiopian Chamber of

Commerce and Sectoral Associations (ECCSA), received Ato Wendyirad

Abreham, President of Ethiopian Diary Farmers Association and

Dr.Amanueal Asefa, Staff of World Bank to Ethiopia, at his office on 12th of

April, 2017 and discussed on various issues related to Public Private Dia-

logue (PPD).

The aim of the meeting was stated to discuss on how to organize a PPD on

Ethiopian livestock sector in order to alleviate its problems created due to

new business environment, capacity and policy matters of the sector.

Ato Endalkachew briefed that 5 and 1/2 years ago, ECCSA and the former

Ethiopian Ministry of Trade and Industry signed MoU which governs the

whole public private dialogues and implementations of their results. The

Secretary General further said that so far Ethiopian public private consulta-

tive forums (EPPCF) have been organized by the Ethiopian Government and

ECCSA with the initiation of the private sector so as to collect inputs for

policy reform based on the problems caused on the private businesses. The

prioritized problems on the private sector according to their weight are listed

from which agendas are also picked for EPPCF legitimately and profession-

ally, he added.

not well regarded and its board is not established so far. The Presi-

dent also said that the dairy sector may bring significant change

for the development of the country’s economy, if the concerned

bodies intervene. Comparing with other countries, the production

and price of milk in Ethiopia is very low and very high

role of ECCSA in promoting trade and investment was pre-

sented by Ato Adisu Tekle, Advisor to the Secretary General

of ECCSA.

From Latvian side, the two private companies representing

forestry and information technology which are very im-

portant sectors for the contribution of Latvian economy were

also briefed by their representatives.

Matchmaking

Organized

The Iran-Ethiopian Business Matchmak-

ing was organized by the Ethiopian

Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral As-

sociations (ECCSA) in Partnership with

the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of

Iran on April 21, 2017 at Iran Embassy to

Ethiopia.

The matchmaking was arranged for

business communities of the two

countries working in the importation

and supply of materials and equip-

ment of cement sector in order to deal their busi-

nesses, and share experiences and current infor-

mation.

Mr Behzad Khaktour, Ambassador of the Embassy of

the Islamic Republic of Iran to Ethiopia said that huge

number of Ethiopian products mostly cereals are export-

ing to Iranian market and Iranian market is demanding

more and more Ethiopian products. The embassy is thus

very devoted to work with the Ethiopian business com-

munity to develop the economic relation between Ethio-

pia and Iran, the Ambassador added.
