WORK SESSIONS

Supplier Prequalification Bakken Room

The project objective is to establish a standard library for the documenting of supplier prequalification/profile data. The library would include the common data elements, their definitions, and their syntax such that all may use them regardless of how data is actually captured or shared. This would allow clarity on the use of such data elements, as well as enable more standard and automated processes for collecting, sharing, validating, and using such data elements in many existing and new processes for each organization involved. In addition, the Workgroup would establish a Community with the scope to manage the provision of data to Oil & Gas Operators from the collective suppliers, using the established data standard and data provider(s).

SESSION DESCRIPTIONS

Marketplace Exhibit 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Visit participating suppliers! PIDX Marketplace is a great start where buyer attendees and suppliers can meet, greet, mix and mingle during breaks and between event meals and sessions. Located in the Bakken Room - be sure to stop and see all of our PIDX supplier partners.

Welcome Member and First-Time Attendee Orientation 8:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. Do you have questions about PIDX International and the 2016 US Spring Global Energy Standards Conference?Make sure to attend the educational session “New to PIDX” Briefing Information. It’s your opportunity to become familiar with the value and benefits of being a PIDX member and engage with colleagues in the oil and gas industry. This special session will orient you to the opportunities you’ll find here and help you maximize your experience. On conclusion you would know who, what, when, where, and why PIDX!

Keynote Address: The B2B Gold Rush – A Look Back 9:15 a.m. – 9:45 a.m.Presenter: Steve Green, Global Account Executive, WeatherfordThe presenter shares a historical perspective of the first wave of E-Commerce in the oil and gas upstream vertical and some of the memorable stumbles and successes along the way.

How to do more with E-Business Programs 9:45 a.m. – 10:15 a.m. Presenter: Darryl Gate, VP Client Services, CortexeBusiness is providing us the tools required to manage the commerce process in a cost-efficient manner. More importantly, eBusiness needs to equally benefit both the Buyer and the Supplier for it to truly be adopted. Although the focus now is on cost, eventually, when the commodity recovers, we will see organizations needing to scale-up quickly. By introducing eBusiness solutions today, Buyers and Suppliers not only ensure they can manage in today’s environment but can also do more with less tomorrow. So what can eBusiness solutions help you accomplish?

Standardized Technical Specifications as a low cost solution to the supplier-buyer 10:45 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. boundary Presenter: Peter Benson, Executive Director, ECCMAIn order to manage an asset, it needs to be identified, named, described and classified before adding a list of spare parts where each part also needs to be identified, named, described and classified. This can be a real challenge and an expensive proposition without help from manufacturers and your suppliers. Your suppliers have the data you need but they need you to tell them what data you want and how you want it delivered. What you should be asking for are standardized technical specifications, or to be more precise, ISO 8000 quality standardized technical specifications. This data can be delivered as a spreadsheet as long as it is encoded using an open technical dictionary. The result is high quality authoritative data you can use to populate your master data files and an end to data cleansing. You can also use the process to request the data you need to clean up your existing master data quickly and at low cost. If you still think this is a pipe dream, this session will show you how the process is being applied across 7,500 companies and why it is soon to become mandatory in the Middle East for manufacturers and suppliers to create and register ISO 8000 quality standardized technical specifications. PIDX Antitrust Compliance PolicyIntroduction and Guiding Principles

Petroleum Industry Data Exchange, Inc., a Texas non-profit corporation (“PIDX”), is committed to complying with all applicable antitrust laws. Those laws prohibit, among other things, any agreement, whether oral or written, among competitors that is in restraint of trade. They also generally prohibit conduct that reduces competition or that involves competition by unfair means. As a standards development organization, PIDX is committed to using procedures for standards development that incorporate openness, balance of interests, voluntary consensus, transparency, due process, and an appeals process. In addition to these legal requirements, PIDX seeks to ensure that all participants in standards development activities conduct their activities in good faith to promote a fair, open, collaborative and unrestricted process for considering and adopting standards. All employees of PIDX, and any Members or Participants taking part in any PIDX activities, including standards development activities, are required to follow this policy strictly and without exception. Violations of antitrust laws can lead to severe penalties for PIDX or its Member or Participant companies and even jail or fines for those individuals committing violations. Persons with questions regarding what is, or is not, permitted under antitrust laws should consult counsel before behaving in a manner that may violate, or create the perception of a violation of, antitrust laws. Please remember the following “Guiding Principles” adhered to by PIDX, which are reflected in PIDX’s organizational documents, such as its Bylaws and Procedures for Standards Development:

• Openness. PIDX standards development activities shall be open to all interested parties.• Balance of Interests. All interested parties that register with PIDX shall have the right to

participate in and comment on PIDX standards development activities.• Due Process and Transparency. All interested parties that register with PIDX will be notified

of PIDX standards development activities in accordance with PIDX’s published rules and willhave access to information regarding the status of PIDX’s standard development activities.

• Appeals Process. All interested parties shall have the right to appeal the results of PIDXstandards development activities.

• Voluntary Consensus. All PIDX standards must be adopted through the process of voluntaryconsensus, which requires approval by a majority of all Members and two-thirds of thosevoting.

• Open Standards. PIDX standards are made available on a royalty-free basis.• Promote Efficiency. PIDX standards are intended to promote efficiency throughout the

petroleum industry and not for the competitive advantage or private benefit of any Member orParticipant.

• Good Faith. Participants in PIDX standards development activities are required to discloseinterests in intellectual property rights associated with the standard to the fullest extentrequired under applicable law.

• Global Vision. PIDX standards are intended to be used globally; therefore participants inPIDX standards setting activities are expected to be mindful of all antitrust laws and not thoseof a single region or country.

It is these principles that permit PIDX to bring horizontal competitors together in one room. Therefore, PIDX employees, Members and Participants should remember these principles when participating in PIDX functions and act in a manner that furthers these principles.
