Una muela abrasiva es una herramienta más delicada de lo que nos puedeparecer a simple vista y que por desgracia, con cierta frecuencia, no es con-siderada como tal. A continuación le ofrecemos unos consejos para su uso.Sígalos y trabajará con mayor seguridad. / An abrasive wheel is a more deli-cate tool than which it can seem at first sight, and unfortunately it is not con-sidered like that very often. We offer you some advices for the correct use.Follow them and you will work safer.

ALMACENAJE Y MANIPULACIÓN / STORAGE AND HANDLING

Las muelas vitrificadas tienen una resistencia limitada y algunas de ellas sonverdaderamente frágiles; su manipulación y almacenaje debe ser cuidadosa.1.Manéjelas con cuidado evitando que caigan o que choquen.2.Si su tamaño no permite trasladarlas en las manos, utilice una carretilla,

pero JAMÁS las haga rodar sobre el suelo.3.Una forma adecuada de almacenamiento de muelas, tanto nuevas como

usadas, debe permitir seleccionarlas y cogerlas sin que se golpeen unas conotras.

Vitrified wheels have a limited resistance and some of them are really fragile;must be careful during handling and storage.1.Handle them with care avoiding falling down and impacts.2.If their dimensions do not allow be moved by hand, use a trolley, but

NEVER must be moved rolling along the floor.3.A way for the correct wheels storage, both news and used ones, must allows

heir selection and picking up without impacts between each other.

MONTAJE / MOUNTING

1.Antes de colocarla en la máquina, compruebe que no está agrietada; suspéndala por el orificio central con una pieza metálica o con el dedo - si la muela por su tamaño no lo permite colóquela verticalmente sobre un suelo duro - y golpee ligeramente la superfície con un objeto rígido pero no metálico - unmango de destornillador por ejemplo - en dos puntos situados aproximadamente a 45º de la vertical, gírela y repita la operación. El sonido debe ser nítidoy metálico.

2.Asegúrese de que las revoluciones del eje en que va a montarse correspon den a las de trabajo de la muela que va a utilizar. NUNCA coloque una muela en una máquina cuya velocidad sea mayor que la especificada para dicha muela.

3.La muela no debe entrar forzada en el eje, debe montarse libremente y con la tolerancia adecuada para las posibles dilataciones producidas por el calentamiento, pero una holgura excesiva produciria fuertes vibraciones.

4.Los platos de sujeción han de tener un diámetro de al menos 1/3 de la muela a montar y completamente iguales entre si. Compruebe periodicamente, que éstos no presentan deformaciones, desgastes o rebabas. Entre los platos de sujeción y el abrasivo se colocará siempre una junta para disminuir uniforme-mente la presión del apriete. Las arandelas de papel secante con que se suministra la muela cumple esa función, no los retire.

5.Apriete la tuerca sólo lo suficiente para una sujeción firme. Un exceso de presión puede dañar la muela e incluso las pletinas.6.Situe correctamente la carcasa protectora y retirándose de la máquina, póngala en marcha al menos 5 minutos. no se situe ante la muela al ponerla por pri

mera vez e funcionamiento recién montada en la máquina.

1.Do always visually inspect wheels before mounting for possible damage during transport and eliminate the damaged ones. For checking, hang it up from the middle hole by a metal shaft or finger – if the big dimensions do not allow it, please put it vertically on a hard floor- and hit it lightly by and rigid objet butnot metal – a screwdriver handle for example- on two points located at 45º aprox.from its vertical, turn it and repeat operation. The sound must be cleanand metallic.

2.Do always ensure that the spindle speed of the machine doesn't exceed than the operating speed marked on the wheel. NEVER exceed the maximum operating speed marked on the wheel.

3.Don't force a wheel onto a machine spindle. It must be mounted freely and keeping the suitable tolerance preventing possible dilations caused by heat. Attention: an excessive tolerance may cause vibrations.

4.The locking flanges must be at least 1/3 of wheel to be mounted, and the two flanges must be equals each other. Check periodically that they are undamaged, clean and free of burr. A gasket must be put between flange and abrasive wheel to decrease the tightening pressure uniformly. For this reason, wheelsare delivered with paper gasket, please don't remove them.

5.Don't tighten the mounting nut or locking flange excessively. This can distort the flanges.6.Do always allow newly mounted wheels to run at operating speed with the guar in place for at least 5 minutes before working, and keep away to check the

wheel run properly.

3.Con el uso, la muela abrasiva sufre deformaciones; rectifique y revise la muela periodicament con la herramienta adecuada.
