    A2 Story Ideas Questionnaire

    Part of my media studies coursework this year is to create a 5 minute long short

    film, which can be on completely anything. This allows a lot of freedom and has left

    me needing inspiration for a story idea from you my target audience. What I have sofar is that I am looking to have a male quirky lead in a romantic comedy. My target

    audiences are girls 16-30, who would not typically describe themselves as girly.

    1) Which age demographic appeals to you the most for a lead male character?

    Part of my initial idea is to have a narration, revealing a chain of events

    where perhaps we see the young mans steps to winning the girl. Can you

    think of ways the character could attempt to try and impress her?

    A further idea I have is to stray from conventions and produce something

    more dark and comical. Perhaps the male lead goes to do a sweet gesture and

    ends up gruesomely injuring her. Can you think of any other situations where

    a typical Rom-Com could turn into something darker?
