brain. Starting with the Giant Flying Tap, Flooded House and even the worlds’ largest backwards

In 2015 we are introducing our new SKYTRAIL experience which is a 10 meter high ropes course set
on steel poles amongst our Koala preferred eucalyptus trees. SkyTrail is a great adrenaline rush for
those who want the challenge of a high ropes course conducted in complete safety, and where the
customer has all the control over where they go.
This truly unique, weird and wonderful place is open 7 days a week and is another one of Philip Islands
unique experiences.

Get in touch with wildlife at Maru where you can pat and hand feed many of the animals. Your group
will be guided by our park keeper right inside the koala area and can take advantage of the
opportunity to pat a koala as they come eye to eye with it.
Enjoy hand feeding and patting the kangaroos and wallabies, including rare albinos. See wombats,
Tasmanian Devils, dingoes, talking parrots, snakes and more in the animal park.
Pat a koala, cuddle a dingo or get wrapped up in a Python snake, it’s all possible during special ‘close
encounters’ at Maru. Bring your camera and take advantage of the ample photo opportunities or
have a professional photo taken as a souvenir of your experience.
Your guests can be entertained with laughter and education at Maru's Sheep Shearing show held in
the auditorium accommodating up to 150pax. At least one show every day but please check as extra
shows may be scheduled. Get to see sheep being shorn and enjoy a true Aussie experience.
Meet the shearer and learn about the wool and its production. Exclusive shows available POA.
Then set sail into Pirate Pete’s Mini-Golf Adventure and enjoy 18 holes of piratin’ fun.
Putt your way around the thirty meter Pirate Ship and encounter life-size pirate figures, including
one of Captain Jack Sparrow. Enter the gold mine under the five meter thunderous waterfall and
watch out for the grouch in the old outback dunny.
Afterwards, relax in the Homestead Bistro which includes an alfresco dining area and indoor

CLOSE ENCOUNTERS AVAILABLE AT MARU: (Note: Admission fees to the animal park apply and then close encounters are an additional fee. A close encounter cannot
be purchased as a stand-alone product.) During all close encounters you enter the animals’ enclosure with the animal park keeper for a
personal experience with the animal. You can take unlimited photos on your own camera whilst you
learn from the keeper about the animal. You will also receive one professional photo in a souvenir
folder, included with each encounter.
KOALA CLOSE ENCOUNTER:
Pat and hand feed a koala, as you enter a separate area where the koala is in a fork at eye level.
DINGO ENCOUNTER:
Pat and cuddle the dingoes as you meet them inside their enclosure.
SNAKE ENCOUNTER:
Have a Python snake draped around you, under the watchful care and guidance of one of our
keepers. NOTE: The welfare of our animals at Maru is important to us, so the availability of Close encounters is always at the Keepers discretion. Encounters may be unavailable in extreme heat or wild weather
conditions to ensure there is no stress placed on the animals.

With flavour combinations of milk, white or dark chocolate coatings and fillings that can consist of any and all combination of strawberry,cola, vegemite and wasabi, there is the chance to see if you have the flair to create a signature chocolate formula.
Pannys chocolate is glossy, firm and snaps crisply. It also tastes superb. His signature chocolate is a white truffle, a sample of which is given to each visitor as they enter the building. It is a milk chocolate bud with a soft and gently sweet filling that is difficult to describe, but impossible to forget. It is only after tasting one can you learn how skilled Panny is as a chocolatier.
There is an extensive range of chocolates, including Australian animals, children’s novelties, and 100’s of bars with soft and hard fillings. There are seasonal items at Easter, Christmas and Mothers Day, as well as rocky road, chocolate coated gingers and their famous frozen bananas dipped in hot chocolate. Also worth discovering is the selection of handmade chocolate truffles. A favourite for those in the know is a chilli infused truffle that starts sweetly and finishes in a warm, spicy sensation.
