SERVICE CLASSES Conversational services
Low tolerance for delay, jitter and errors Generally symmetrical Typically voice, but also video conferencing
Interactive Services For request/response type of applications Low error, but no tough requirements on delay or jitter
Streaming Services Typically for one-way services, e.g. streaming audio and video low error, but since user application buffers data received, neither
jitter nor delay requirements are stringent
Background Services E.g. For email and SMS services that can run in the background and
dont require direct user involvement Low error but no particular requirements on delay
