This past week we have been celebrating Catho-lic Schools week — an opportunity for us to reflect on the benefit of a Catholic School education in helping us draw closer to Jesus and his way of life. If ever you have ques-tions about our school, All Saints Academy, please do not be afraid to ask. In the context of our week we try to cre-ate that environment where the children will learn that wherever they are in life and whatever they do in life God is always there with them. Thank you for the support you give to us as we try to offer this gift of Catholic School education to you and to your families. I would like to share with you the following thank you notes for recent donations from our parish tithe: “Dear Rev. Darling and Parishioners, Your gift made a difference! Your contribution of $5,000 designed to God’s Kitchen helps us continue to serve those most vulnerable in our communities. Our programs serve over 21,000 individuals and families annually. As you can imagine, the need for our services continues to grow. Again, thank you for your generosity and your confidence in our work. Sincerely, Chris Slater Interim CEO” “Dear Fr. Darling, The $1,500 donation to our team from your Dea-con George Social Justice Fund was a splendid and very welcome surprise! All of us at Kent County Search & Rescue Team K9 Unit send a hearty thank you to you, and your parish for thinking of us and delivering such a wonderful donation. Our K9 unit trains often and with great dedication to be ready to respond to calls for our assistance. Our teams can, and do, save lives and ease worried minds. With support such as that of Blessed Sacrament Church, we are encouraged in our work. Again, our deepest thanks! Kent County Search & Rescue Team K9 Unit”

A message from Cardinal Timothy Dolan of New York: “There is no more tried and true way of passing on our Catholic faith to our kids than by sacrificing to put them in Catholic school. Data proves they persevere in the faith at higher rates, pray better, and more faithful to Sunday Mass, live gospel values, are more generous to their parish, even have happier marriag-es, volunteer more, and transmit the faith to their own children that those not in a Catholic school.” Registra-tion for the fall term is now under-way at All Saints Academy. Call ASA at 364-9453 or visit our web site at asagr.org to learn how you can give your children or grandchil-dren the gift of a lifetimeIthe gift of a Catholic school education.
