Please help the Committee make your move-in as easy and efficient as possible by reading this insert.Admission to the Purina Event Center for conformation exhibitors begins on Tuesday, April 16, with the WINNERS OF THE 2019 AUCTION entering first at 6:30 A.M. in setup number order. Any auction winner not present at 6:30 A.M. will lose his/her setup number selection.     By March 28, 2019, send up to a 50-word Parade Resume to: Denise Agre-gill, 1655 County Rd. 258, Fulton, MO 65251 or [email protected]. Include the Variety of your poodle on your resume and indicate Conformation or Performance Parade.

    Coat clips must be in accordance with the Breed Standard. Dogs with an AKC Hunting Title or PCA Working Certificate may be exhibited in short hunting trim. Any poodle with an AKC Obedience, Tracking, Agility, Hunting or Rally Title or with any PCA Working Certificate (WC or WCX) or PCA Upland Certificate are eligible for the Performance Parade. The entry blank must have "Performance Parade" on it and mailed with entry fee to MB-F, Inc. Each entrant in the Parade will receive a Rosette with dog's name imprinted.

    The entry form must indicate “Conformation Parade” or Performance Parade”

    AND MAILED WITH ENTRY FEE TO MB-F, INC.

    Resumes for Parades will not be accepted at the show grounds.

    2019 PCA RV Parking Request Form

    RV Parking begins on Sunday, April 14 at 12:00 NoonAll RVs must be out of the Purina RV Sites on Saturday, April 20 by 9:00 A.M.

    The 2019 RV Parking Sites A1 through B17 were auctioned off at the 2018 PCA Specialty Show.The 2020 Live Auction will take place following the Regular Dog Classes on Wednesday, April 17th. The remainder of the 2019 RV Parking Site Requests will be selected by random draw. Parking sites C1 through D21 will be assigned for five nights stay followed by multiple nights then single night stay.

    RV Parking Forms received by March 18, will be assigned a site number by random draw. Forms received after March 18 will be assigned a site number as they are received. You will be notified of your site number via “E-mail”, PLEASE WRITE YOUR E-MAIL ADDRESS CLEARLY. Please include your payment of $40.00 per night in the form of a check or money order, payable to PCA in U.S. funds – NO CREDIT CARDS. Purina Farms has changed their RV Parking Policy and all sites on the ground will be charged a parking fee and will be assigned a parking site number. Additional RV Parking information will be available on the PCA Website at www.poodleclubofamerica.org.2019 RV Auction Winners complete the RV Request Form and mail with your payment of $40.00 per night stay by March 18th.   • Just Groom a Poodle! 6th Annual Grooming Competition & Fundraiser

    Monday, April 15, 2019 Gateway Hall, Purina Farms, Purina Event Center 300 Checkerboard Loop, Gray Summit, MO 63039

    Enter our grooming competition & help us raise funds for the breed club. Entry fee is $50.00 & will be donated in its entirety to Poodle Club of America Inc.

    How Does It Work There will be one class for all three varieties: Toy, Miniature, & Standard

    Divided into two divisions: Amateur & Professional Professionals (Professional Handlers & Professional Grooming Competitors)

    Amateurs (Owner/Handlers, Assistants, Novice Groomers) Grooming Competition Hours: 10:00AM - 12:45PM

    Awards Presentation at 1:30PM

    Groom any poodle variety in any of the following clips: Continental, HCC, English Saddle, Puppy Clip, Scandinavian, Secondary Puppy Clip, German Clip, or Sporting Trim.

    Poodle feet & faces can be clipped prior to the competition. You will be allotted the following times: Toy - 1 hour 45 minutes, Miniature - 2 hours, Standard -

    2 hours 30 minutes Trims with spray up will be allotted an additional 15 minutes. An assistant can help hold your dog

    for spray up during that 15 minutes time slot. Competitors will be judged by nationally renowned award winning judges:

    Here's your free opportunity to find out what it's all about in a very informal setting.

    Bring your dog in a flat buckle-type collar and your dog's favorite toy and see if training to be a retriever is for YOU! We'll supply the information and any other equipment such as long lines, birds (big and small), wings, bumpers, duck calls, etc. We'll start by outlining the basics of retriever training, move on to play retrieving with your dog and continue with an introduction to birds. Come watch Poodles at work on land in the morning, experience the basics of retriever training at mid-day and stay to watch Poodles tackle the water in the afternoon.     PERFORMANCE SWEEPSTAKES FOR POODLE CLUB OF AMERICA, INC.

    Rules and Procedures

    The Performance Sweepstakes is a Performance Event and is intended to be not only a competition, but more importantly a learning experience for those who enter and compete. With that in mind, the Performance Sweepstakes event will be run under the following rules and procedures.

    Eligibility: Any Poodle registered with the American Kennel Club (including those with Limited Registration) may compete as long as they have earned a title or certificate prior to the close of entries in one of the following disciplines:

    AKC Obedience, Rally, Agility, Coursing Ability, Fast CAT, Tracking, Barn Hunt, Dock Diving, Farm Dog,RetrieverHuntTests,SpanielHuntTests,CanineGoodCitizen,Flyball,TherapyDog,Trick Dog, andSearchand Rescue.

    Or have earned one of the following PCA certificates:

    PCA Working Certificate, Working Certificate Excellent, Upland Instinct Certificate, Upland Working Certificate, Upland Working Certificate Excellent (also includes Hunting Poodle and Hunting Poodle Excellent titles).

    Spayed and neutered dogs and bitches are eligible to participate and will be judged together with intact dogs and bitches. Honorable scars and injuries are to be expected with working dogs and are to be judged accordingly.

    Any trim is acceptable other than fancy grooming competition type trims. No attachments to the hair are allowed other than rubber bands as permitted in the Poodle breed standard.

    Classes: There will be 6 classes, split by age and sex:Junior Dog and Junior Bitch, for dogs 6 months and under 2 yearsOpen Dog and Open Bitch, for dogs 2 years and under 7 yearsSenior Dog and Senior Bitch, for dogs 7 years and over

    AllsizePoodleswillbeshowntogether,tobejudgedagainstthebreedstandardwiththedog'sheightbeing immaterial in the judging. Each age division will choose a winner as well as a best of opposite sex.

    The winner of each age division will compete for Best in Performance Sweepstakes. All opposite sex winners will compete for Best of Opposite Sex to Best in Performance Sweepstakes.

    Judges: Mrs. Linda Tilka & Mr. Michael B. LambTwo judges will judge each exhibit. At least one of the judges will be a judge currently licensed to judge Poodles in AKC events. The second judge may be a seasoned exhibitor or breeder with extensive knowledge of proper Poodle structure and temperament and a keen eye toward the working abilities of Poodles.

    Judging Criteria: All entries will be judged strictly according to the Poodle breed standard with the exception of trims, and spayed/neutered dogs are allowed. A Score Sheet (on the following page) will be filled out for each entry with the consensus score of both judges. Score sheets will be tabulated after each class and the winner announced as soon as possible after the conclusion of the class. There will be no class placements while exhibitors are in the ring. Each exhibit's score sheet will be posted and available for review after the sweepstakes has concluded.
