UNIQUELY SNOHOMISH MONTHLY COLUMN Uniquely Snohomish is a print and online magazine mailed directly to 32,000 homes in North King County and South Snohomish County. Uniquely Snohomish needs original “how-to” home project articles for their readers. Each article needs to be original, roughly 500 words, and include a photo and author byline (yours if written by you). The articles can’t be self-promoting. Deadline is the 15th of every month and our in-house editor will review it prior to submitting to Uniquely Snohomish.

SEATTLE TIMES HOMEWORK COLUMNEach week, the Seattle Times HomeWork column offers readers of NWHomes ideas for making the most out of their homes. Topics can include hot remodeling trends, DIY fixes, energy-savings tips, and ways to save on home repairs. NWHomes appears in the Saturday edition of the Times. The format is question-answer, typically one question with a longer answer (up to 600 words). Your article submission should feature original content that is not self-promoting. You will receive recognition as the author with a company byline. The deadline is the Monday two weeks prior to print. Our in-house editor will review the article prior to submitting to the Seattle Times.

SOCIAL MEDIA Our members can submit photographs of completed projects for inclusion in the MBA’s social media channels. These channels include Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest. These posts are subject to review by our in-house social media editor; they are integrated into the social media calendar within a week of submission, dependent on the overall calendar.

HOMEMATTERS MAGAZINE Twice a year, the MBA distributes HomeMatters magazine, the official publication of the Seattle Home Show. The publication is circulated to Home Show attendees and made available at mbaks.com. These 500 word how-to articles fall within the categories of buy, build, maintain, and remodel. The deadline for the spring issue is early January and early September for the fall edition. Our in-house editor will review the article prior to submitting to the HomeMatters editorial staff.
