VOLUNTEER ROLES NEEDED
Timing System Operation and Support – UMLY home meets are conducted using an electronic timing system. Learning set-up and teardown procedures requires about an hour. Learning scoreboard operation requires more training. (See Sharon Kirkby.)
Meet Manager Operator - The job requires a person comfortable to work on a computer. A 4 hour training session prior to the start of the season is required. (See Shelly Hunt.)
YMCA Swim Official – Level I Swim Officials are certified to function as Stroke and Turn Judge, Relay Take-off Judge, Place Judge, and Timer. Successful completion of a written/online test is required for certification. (See Steve Booz.) Also if you are already a Level I or II and want to go to the next level (II or Referee/Starter), let Steve know too!!
Timers, Runners, Snack Bar, Meet Set up, Meet Clean up, Photo Night, Meet Announcer, Banquet planning, T-shirts, Publicity, etc.
