    Course Expectations:1. Do your best work.

    2. Complete assignments on time. Read the full assignment descriptions in Blackboard and make sure youare following directions and fulfilling all parts of an assignment. Turn in assignments on or before the

    due dates. Late work will result in a loss of points, one letter grade for each day it is late.3. Do your own work and do not plagiarize. Give full credit to the source when using text, graphics, music,

    etc., and be sure to follow Copyright laws. Academic dishonesty results in failure. Consult the DrakeCatalog for policies regarding plagiarism, academic dishonesty, and consequences.

    4. Class sessions are limited and attendance is required. There are no excused absences.5. Ask questions if you need clarification or you do not understand.

    Grading:

    The following grading scale will be used for determining your final grade. To calculate your grade at any time,divide your total number of points by the points available up to that date, and refer to the percentages andgrades below. (Final total points that include a decimal of .5 or higher will be rounded to the next higher whole

    The portfolio instructor reviews your work to check for completion and professionalism. It is yourresponsibility to determine the appropriateness and quality of artifacts included in your portfolio.

    The reviewing faculty member will complete the final assessment of the portfolios contents at the end of thesemester. It is possible that the reviewing faculty member will ask for revisions in order for you to meet the

    portfolio requirements. You will have one opportunity to make those revisions.

    - Important Information -

    A complete and proficient portfolio is part of your licensure requirements and must be completed

    in order to be certified to teach. When your portfolio is sent to a faculty member for final review, youhave only one chance to correct any errors/make revisions. If not corrected properly the first time, the

    portfolio will be assessed as "unacceptable," and you will have to retake this class.There are no excused absences for this course. Missing one of the two days of class will result in

    an automatic C for the course. Missing both days will result in an F.

    Requirements for each InTASC Standard:

    1. Description of the artifact and why it meets the InTASC standard.

    2. Artifact3. Reflection that relates the artifact to teaching experiences and explains ideas for continued

    improvement in the future. (250-300 words minimum)4. A related image or student work sample that is presented visually (not just a link).
