Basic Concepts of SNMP

SNMP: Simple Network Management Protocol Used to ensure the transmission of management information between any two

points

Its easy for the network administrator to retrieve and modify information at any

node in the network, detect faults, diagnose faults, plan the capacity and

generate reports.

There are three versions, SNMP V1, V2 and V3. Currently, SNMPV1 are

widely applied to the network.

System Switchover: Auto Synchronizations

The MA5600T supports dual configuration of the control cards.

It auto synchronizes data between the active and standby SCU cards. When the active card or its link becomes faulty, the system automatically

performs active/standby switchover

The MA5600T provides the host program rollback.

The previous host program and data can be rolled

back within a certain period.

NOTE:After the host program and data are loaded thesystem must be restarted.

data for two days. After that period, the rollback function is disabledautomatically.
