You chose to come to Lyon, our city, and you booked in our hos-tel. First of all, we wanted to thank you for that ! Welcome !
At Away Hostel & Coffee Shop, our goal is to give you a chance to discover Lyon like a local, through activities we organise and local tips we’d love to share with you.As avid travelers, we know it is not always easy to discover a city like a local. That’s the reasons why we’ve assembled all our team members’ best tips and addresses, to offer an original, simple and design city guide.
The goal of this guide is not to be exhaustive. We selected only 3 addresses/activities per category. Now you can save time and money and have a great experience !

This is a historical and classic refer-

lot of celebrities have come from

In summer it can be so hot that you

best friend showed me this place.
I chose the « californienne » with
shrimp, avocado, grapefruit and car-
rot. It was very fresh and delicious.
Their « ravioles », which is stuffed

but not any random cocktails : German cocktails! The staff’s clothes
are very typical (check shirt, classic straps,..) and you can feel that
they are passionate by what they do. Original and creative cocktails!
Great concept, good vibes…Danke schön ! We recommand their Ger-
man brunch on Sunday morning.

the Jardin des Plantes, this place is

Let’s party on a boat ! LE SIRIUS is on
the Rhône river banks, 5min walking
distance from the Slo Hostel. We did
some staff ‘meetings’ over there and
we all recommend the homemade
punchs for a crazy ride on the river!
The music is more commercial, but
still pretty great for dancing. Trust
