Formed in November 2008 in Mayfield, Kentucky, TWG became a new option for staffing your projects. Starting primarily as a consulting firm in the wireless sector, TWG can provide professional management both inside the industry and out.

Owned and operated by Johnnie and Holly Whitfield, with the help of General Manager Murphy Hall, TWG provides more than 18 years total experience in telecom projects to help drive successful partnerships. Together, they have both worked in and managed projects across the country and are quite familiar with the dynamics of wireless projects.

Johnnie Whitfield has been in the telecom industry for more than 10 years. Starting out installing CO equipment for Nortel Networks, Johnnie began moving through certification and installation experience in most all types of equipment found in Central Offices, including battery systems and optical cabinetry.

In 2000, Johnnie moved into wireless as a Construction Manager for a contractor to (then) Nokia for a year. After that he went to work in installation/integration of Nokia Ultrasite GSM equipment. In 2002 Johnnie became the Quality Manager for a contractor to Nokia during the GSM uplifts of Cingular and AWS. Managing a number of quality auditors helped him cut his teeth towards larger management.

In 2003 he took a job as a Market/Project Manager for an NSN contractor and for the last 6 years has successfully managed projects in 11 states, three of them over 1,000 sites. Known as calm and collected in the trenches, he thrives on the fast pace environment of telecom projects. Johnnie stepped away from his long-term employer in October 2008 and in November of the same year opened TWG for business.

Educated and detail oriented, Johnnie has vast experience with MS Office software as well as numerous database type tracking systems (CASPR, SwiftTrack, etc) and is known for high quality excel tracking spreadsheets. A trusted customer interface, this leader is ready for any challenge.


Murphy Hall has more than 8 years experience in telecom. Before Telecom, he helped manage a welding company that specializes in fabricating custom buckets and equipment for the coal industry for more than 14 years.

Murphy started out in CO installation but quickly moved to wireless and in 2000 began installing and integrating Nokia GSM equipment. He moved through the ranks of various positions and began managing in 2002. Strong background in Quality Control, he holds his work to a high standard and expects nothing but the best from everyone around. Murphy has ran projects ranging from small (<100 sites) to managing projects that cover entire states and regions. A great customer interface, Murphy is a proven leader.
