What is Feedly?• Feedly is a tool that pulls in content from around the web. • Feedly makes it easy for you to find and share the latest internet content

with your online audience and customers.• It works by you subscribing to the latest content via RSS from your favourite

websites or sites with the most appropriate content for your customers.

• Subscribe to the latest updates from your favourite websites and bloggers – in fact any source that has an RSS feed.

• Use the existing categories on Feedly to find recommended content sources

• Easily share content to your social channels (note; we recommend you do this via Hootsuite or direct on the social media site)

Organising your Feedly account• To help you share quickly and easily create

folders that supports your content themes. You want about 4-6 themes. Don’t get too granular as you will never browse all the folders.

• Think broad themes i.e. style – which would include fashion, make-up and hairstyling.

• Each time you add a content source your will be prompted to put it into a folder.

• If you decide to change them or want to do a tidy up just click Organise at the bottom of your page you will be able to create and manage your folders. Most of the content in this area can be drag and dropped into place.

Finding sources of content• If you know the name of a site you want to curate from, paste or type

the name of the site you want to add. If that site has a feed and another Feedly member has already subscribed to that feed, you should see it get listed in the search results.

Adding a source via search• Feedly has made it easy for you to find lots of sources of content by

categorising them and allowing you to look through the categories you search for. It will suggest some popular topics, Business and other ones like Music for example but you can search for others.

• You may search for Finance or recruitment if those topics are relevant to you and your business.

Sharing content through Feedly - part 1• Now that you have connected a variety of content sources to your Feedly

you will now have great content to share each day. This is the Magazine view but you can change it via the Settings Cog.

• I like to use the Title Only so I can quickly shortlist the content I like the sound by the title. By clicking the tag icon it will save the blog post in the Saved For Later section.

• The number that you see next to the title is how many times that blog post has been shared from other people using Feedly.

Sharing content through Feedly – part 2• Click on the content you want to share and click the 3 dots, shown in the

screenshot. • You now need to pick a sharing method, my choice would be Hootsuite or

Buffer, if you have linked your Buffer and Feedly accounts together.
