Skirting Board moldings not only add a decorative, finished appearance to walls, but also allow carpenters to cover gaps or
blemishes at a wall's base.

Skirting board is constructed from a number of different materials. Each of them have their strengths and weaknesses, so care should
be taken in selecting the right baseboard type for your project.
Medium density fiber board (MDF) is the most common type of baseboard molding. The advantages of MDF are that it is cheap
and can be painted easily.

Pine molding is manufactured from pine trees, so it has the look and feel of real wood. It is also the least expensive of the natural woods.
