Ø Worked with BETF to submit additional grant requests for the SITES program
Ø Held Chapter VPMS conference calls in May and June
Ø Conducted monthly VPMS team conference callsØ Participated on the Epsilon Awards review committee
to review all entries for the BDPA Best Companies in IT awards
Community Outreach
Ø HSCC § Plans being completed for 2011 competition in Chicago.
– 20 teams will compete§ Pilot IT Mobile Showcase offering has been postponed until
2012Ø IT Showcase
§ Status of presenters: 9 college students and 7 high school students
Ø Youth Technology Camp (YTC)§ Workshop presenters and schedule has been completed§ Field Trip plans confirmed
Ø IT Corps§ Funding was not available in 2011 for execution of plans§ Cleveland Chapter initiated a model program to use as a
base for future chapters
Entrepreneur Advisory Group
Ø Stan Washington (Chicago) and Lorenzo Marshall (Central Illinois) are the co-chairs for this group
Ø Plans underway§ Update Entrepreneur Group Directory§ Add Entrepreneur page to the BDPA web site§ Plan offerings for Entrepreneurs at the 2011 conference§ Prepare and propose PR and Marketing plans for BDPA

Career Center
Ø Plans are on hold for transition from the Monster Talent Management System to the YM.com system until 2012, due to one year remaining on the Monster contract
Ø Preparing process for providing career services during the BDPA 2011 Conference§ Career Fair registration and entry requirements
Ø Student Internship Program plans and pilot virtual internship fair plans remain on hold pending resources and funding

Ø Team delivered the following webinars in 2Q11:
● BDPA National Program Meeting, 6/1/11– Speaker: Dr. Linda King– Topic: “Disaster and Your Organizational Readiness”
● Career Development Seminar, 6/15/11– Speaker: Stan Washington– Topic: “Entrepreneurial Fireside Chat”
