BDPA History In November 1975, the late David Wimberly and Earl

A. Pace Jr. started BDPA in Philadelphia, PA to address these concerns:lack of Blacks in middle and upper managementpoor preparation of Blacks for these positionslow number of Blacks recruited for upper

managementlack of career mobility for people of colorlucrative placement services dominated by non-

minorities There are over 45 active BDPA Chapters across the

country

About BDPA

BDPA is non-profit organization that advances the careers of African Americans in the Information Technology industry from the Classroom to the Boardroom.

Membership consists of programmers, analysts, entrepreneurs, consultants, managers, telecommunications specialists, executives, data security, technical writers, network administrators, educators and so on.

• These meetings are held for information sharing, networking and center around formal presentations in leading edge technology.
