Our VISION
AIESEC in Ethiopia is an independent and sustainable entity offering to young people a
unique leadership development experience and bringing international exposure to the
country. AIESEC in Ethiopia is a vibrant and viral
organization focusing on relevant issues for the society giving an international integrated
experience to its members and striving for stakeholders satisfaction to achieve a
positive impact.
Our Structure
Our structure has been created to last for the next 3 months to allow current AIESEC members to live a team experience managing basic activities. The aim of this structure is to build up a pipeline of 15 team leaders for the following months.
What are we doing now:
Running interviews to Ethiopian Students to engage them with AIESEC
Delivering Session on the basis of the organization to align all the AIESECers in the Local Chapter
Training AIESEC Members on the functional areas Organizing activities for Leadership Development Delivering trainings on soft skills such as Public
Speaking and presentation skills Working in teams with the “learning by doing”
approach to AIESEC members giving them the opportunity to learn by doing and by mistakes
swITch – our current Project
1° Edition in Addis Ababa 200 unemployed youth inolved 2 international IT trainers 6 weeks trainings
Projects for the next 6 months:swITch
Objective:
Provide access to IT education to primary school children of Addis Ababa.
We wil address a specific branch of the project to street children
Target:
5000 children in 10 primary schools
Period: October – December

15 Ethiopian university students involved in the Project Management
Projects for the next 6 months:EntrepreNOW
Objective:
Empower an Entrepreneurial mindset to young students in Addis Ababa, giving them access to a network of Local and International companies.
Students will attend weekly trainings on leadership skills delivered by international trainers and they will have the opportunity to attend a Business Game Competition.
The winners of the competition will receive a special award from partner companies to start up their own business.
Target: 500 university students
Period: September – November

Projects for the next 6 months:Addis Without Boarders
Objective:
Promote the concept of respect for different cultures by spreading awareness on different cultures.
Teach english in a innovative and interactive way
Develop and motivate creativity of young students by learning activities run with international AIESEC volunteers
Target:
2000 secondary and high schools students
Period: October – December

15 Ethiopian university students involved in the Project Management
