• The first car was called “Alfa”.

FERRARI• Enzo Ferrari founded Ferrari’s racing club in 1929 in Modena.

• Only in 1943 were the machine shops movedto Maranello.

• Ferrari 125 was the first car produced there in 1947.

• Ferrari decided to give his name to the company and to use a small horse on its logo.

• This horse officially appeared on cars in 1932.

• Ferrari won more than 5000 racesand 25 World Championship titles.

• Ferrari F1-2000 was the winner of the World championship in 2000.

• Schumacher was its pilot.

BUGATTI• In the 1920s and 1930s Bugatti was a byword

of great luxury.

• The factory had to close down and the plant

was sold to Volkswagen.

MASERATI• This modenese factory had reached an important threshold on the road to its definitive positioning amongst the principle constructors of Gran Turismo.

LAMBORGHINI• In 1949 Ferruccio Lamborghini founded “Lamborghini Tractors”.

• In 1965 Lamborghini began building a new supercar.

• High-powered agricultural vehicles.

VESPA • Rinaldo Piaggio founded the “Piaggio” Company in 1884.

• The “VESPA” went intoproduction.

• The company addressed the pressing need for an inexpensive means of transport.

• The scooter became the synonymous with the Italian Recostruction and Italian “dolce vita”.
