SOCIALENTREPRENEURSHIP

The Value of

By David Hochfelder

Social entrepreneurship

allows you to live your life

with purpose.

Rather than being stuck in a job that youdon't believe in where you can't help others, social entrepreneurship allows your passion

to become your occupation

Social entrepreneurship can

keep you motivated.

If you've committed to making a real andlasting impact in the lives of others, you're

holding yourself personally accountable forthe work that you do.

Like philanthropy, social

entrepreneurship makes us feel

good.

As human beings, we're hard-wired to help oneanother. Doing so can increase your mood, your self-

esteem, and your overall wellbeing, so think of thebenefits you'd receive from helping others as your job.

Consumers want companies

who are socially responsible.

in a 2013 study, 90% of respondents said theywould prefer to buy from a company who

places high importance on social responsibility.

Social entrepreneurship is more

difficult, but also more rewarding.

In social entrepreneurship, there is no cuttingcorners. If you've pledged social responsibility, that's a pledge you must stand by. While it maybe more difficult, helping others and living yourpassion can make all of the red tape worth it.
