Location

ClimateQuang Ninh’s climate istypical climate of North VietNam with four seasons:Spring, Summer, Autumnand Winter. In summer, it isvery hot and rainy but theon contrary it is cold and dryin winter.

Quang Ninh is located in the Northeast ofViet Nam, between the east longitude 106’26’ – 108’ 31’3” and north latitude 20’ 40’ –21’40’. Its width from east to west is 195km, from north to south is 120 km. To thenorth, it borders with Guangxi (China) andLang Son. Quang Ninh province alsoborders Bac Giang and Hai Duong provincesto the west, Hai Phong to the south.Distance from Ha Noi to Quang Ninh isabout 170km, with 3 or 4 hours by car.

here are many ways to travel to Quang Ninh, but it is necessary for you to know which is themost convenient route to go there. If you depart for Quang Ninh from Hanoi by air, the nearestairport is Noi Bai Airport. Ha long city is about 150km from the airport. By road, you can get a taxior a car to go to Quang Ninh. A high way which links Ha Noi to the Mong Cai international BorderGate is over a distance of 288km. It’s better for you to go by car because it helps you save money.And if you are from other places, there are many means of transportation for you to choose. Youcan travel by train, motorbike, boat and so on. In particular, it can be easy for you to get a coach. Forexample, from My Dinh Station in Ha Noi, there are many coaches to Quang Ninh with reasonableprice. You can choose Duc Phuc, Ka Long, Kumho, Phuc Xuyen coaches,etc. They all are quite good atquality.

Travelling around Quang Ninh, you can use many different kinds of

vehicles. If you just travel within 30km radius, you should choose a taxi ora bus. It costs about 5 thousands vnd for a turn. If you want to sightseeingand relax, you should travel by pedicab. It’s quite cheap. If you want totravel to places at further distance, the best choice is a coach because ofreasonable price and good quality.
