Location

ClimateQuang Ninh’s climate is typical climate of North Viet Nam with four seasons: Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. In summer, it is very hot and rainy but the on contrary it is cold and dry in winter.

Quang Ninh is located in the Northeast of Viet Nam, between the east longitude 106’ 26’ – 108’ 31’3” and north latitude 20’ 40’ – 21’40’. Its width from east to west is 195 km, from north to south is 120 km. To the north, it borders with Guangxi (China) and Lang Son. Quang Ninh province also borders Bac Giang and Hai Duong provinces to the west, Hai Phong to the south. Distance from Ha Noi to Quang Ninh is about 170km, with 3 or 4 hours by car.

here are many ways to travel to Quang Ninh, but it is necessary for you to know which is the most convenient route to go there. If you depart for Quang Ninh from Hanoi by air, the nearest airport is Noi Bai Airport. Ha long city is about 150km from the airport. By road, you can get a taxi or a car to go to Quang Ninh. A high way which links Ha Noi to the Mong Cai international Border Gate is over a distance of 288km. It’s better for you to go by car because it helps you save money. And if you are from other places, there are many means of transportation for you to choose. You can travel by train, motorbike, boat and so on. In particular, it can be easy for you to get a coach. For example, from My Dinh Station in Ha Noi, there are many coaches to Quang Ninh with reasonable price. You can choose Duc Phuc, Ka Long, Kumho, Phuc Xuyen coaches,etc. They all are quite good at quality.

Travelling around Quang Ninh, you can use many different kinds of vehicles. If you just travel within 30km radius, you should choose a taxi or a bus. It costs about 5 thousands vnd for a turn. If you want to sightseeing and relax, you should travel by pedicab. It’s quite cheap. If you want to travel to places at further distance, the best choice is a coach because of reasonable price and good quality.
