Wearing their medals that we will appreciate. ANZAC day means that we will all get together, and when the sun rises, the the trumpets plays and it is silent for a minute, this is a time when we think about the people who have fought for us.

ANZAC day was originally celebrated, at services like the dawn service. They are also celebrated in public areas, like pubs and clubs. In London over 2,000 Australian and New Zealand, troops marched the streets. We all still do this today. The most traditional way is to go into town each year and watch the veterans of recent wars, polish their medals and march through the streets.
