Made by the Pinkazoidz Hypothesis : That the red dirt from Cathie's house holds the most water. Procedure: 1. Collect items: plastic cups, cheese cloth, sand, dirt, water, measuring cups, and disposable cups. 2. Cut the cups in half and put the cheese cloth on the cup. 3.Measure 100ml of soil/sand and 100ml of water. 4. Take photographs and do profile on soil/sand. 5.Put soil/sand in cups and add water, leave for 1 minute in the sun and then put in shade until proceeded. 6. Measure the amount of water that drained through and work out how much was absorbed. 7.Work out what soil/sand absorbed the most water, and comparing them.8. We can compare by taking the amount we put by the amount that didn't get absorbed

Conclusion

In conclusion we discovered that the sand absorbed the most water because it absorbed 80 ml. The soil from the top of Hanging Rock absorbed the least amount of water. This means people at Hanging Rock should not plant trees up at the top of Hanging Rock or if they do, put a lot of nutrients soil with the plant.
