Alternate theories

O Inside Job

O Many people feel like it was planned, because of the exactness of the break in. The housekeeper Violet Sharp was a suspect because she was the one there dealing with the baby.

O Organized Crime

O Lindbergh has a lot of authority over the investigation and was often holding information back making the police not be able to establish leads. He ignored the ransom letters. Then he was talking with men from the mob.

My opinion

I think that they caught the right guy, but all

in all it was a crazy situation. There was a

lot of conspiracy, but the evidence used

against Hauptmann was definitely pointing

the finger at him, and he is the man that

deserved what he had coming for him.
