It's Conference Championship Weekend and the NFL's version of the Final Four. The Green Bay Packers will meet the

Chicago Bears in the NFC draw while the New York Jets take on the Pittsburgh Steelers to decide the AFC Champion with

the winners moving on to play in Super Bowl XLV on February 6th in Cowboys Stadium.

Interesting to note that both top seeds lost last weekend as home field advantage continues to be an overrated

sports handicapping element with hosts now just 10-10 SU the last five years in Divisional Round play. As mentioned last week, home teams are even worse in the Wild Card Round,

going 13-15 SU the past seven seasons.

The NFC Championship game will be unique for several reasons. One is that it is a matchup of division rivals. This is

just the seventh time in NFL playoff betting history that's happened since 1984 and only the fourth since 1989. Road

and home teams have split those six previous meetings, going 3-3 SU/ATS.

Green Bay has opened as a three-point road favorite over Chicago and that's unusual too as its only the fifth time a visitor has been favored in this round since 1984. Road

favorites were 3-0 ATS before Philly lost outright to Arizona in the NFC Title Game two years ago.

It should be mentioned that the Bears were 2-0 ATS vs. the Packers during the regular season, including an outright win as three-point home dogs on this field back in Week Three. The rematch in the regular season finale saw the Pack win

10-3 at home as huge double-digit favorites as the Monsters of the Midway had nothing to play for.

The AFC Championship Game should be a battle of defense with the Jets taking on the Steelers. Pittsburgh has opened as

1994 (3-4 SU/2-5 ATS).

underdogs. Remember that they did lead that game outright at halftime. This is also a regular season rematch with the

Jets beating the Steelers outright on this field 22-17 as three-point underdogs back in Week 15.

Could this be a battle of the two most underappreciated QB's in the league? Jets QB Mark Sanchez has posted four playoff road wins in two seasons, all over division champs. Steelers

QB Ben Roethlisberger is 9-2 SU in playoff games for his career, going 7-3-1 ATS.
