[Opening frame, long shot of an attractive young woman wearing a bikini, walking along the beach near a road. She is listening to music on her iPod. Waves and faint music is audible.]

[A loud beep and a car driving past, braking then reversing is heard. This grabs the woman's attention so she takes out her earphones and is wearing a curious expression. A dodgy, cheap looking car driving in the opposite direction stops to drive alongside the woman. At the same

time an expensive looking sports car drives up. Both drivers are men trying to woo the woman by offering her a ride home.]

Hey beautiful, let me help you get

you home!

No c’mon baby, his car is pathetic, look at THIS beast.

Let ME drive you home gorgeous!

[The sports car driver laughs at the other driver saying how pathetic his car is. He says how his car cost him millions and caresses the steering wheel while winking at the girl. The woman is

unsure and seems to want a ride as she is obviously hot and tired.]

Hmmm, I don’t know… I am quite

exhausted…

[The woman is confused and is seen looking from one driver to the other, looking each car up and down thinking hard. She seems to be edging towards the sports car.]

[To try and convince the woman the sports car driver revs his engine over and over but then to his shock and frustration the engine splutters and dies, exuding disgusting dark smoke. ]

[As the sports car driver is hitting his steering wheel in frustration, the driver of the smaller car revs his engine to a loud powerful roar and does an astonishing manoeuvre driving directly

alongside the woman. The woman is surprised and impressed and decides to get into the smaller car’s passenger side kissing the very happy and triumphant driver’s cheek.]

[Both cars are opposite each other and the drivers are staring each other down. The man in the sports car is fuming mad and in utter disbelief at what just occurred. He then says wondrously

“How?” to which the driver of the small car confidently and smugly replies “Powerhouse Gold.”]

[End scene is a far shot of the car driving into the sunset. The engine sounds and girl laughing flirtatiously are audible and then cuts out to a deep, manly voice over with the image of the product now appearing and taking of the scene: “Should’ve Gone with PowerHouse Gold.”]

be like. This is important because when branding it is effective to create an image or reputation

which can create connotative meanings to a mass audience. This advertisement is catered to all drivers of cars however more so to younger everyday people who like to show off or impress. Value is paramount to one’s decision to purchase a product however it is not only measured by financial form but rather in today’s society

can be a product of fashion and perception (as quoted by Charles Leadbeatter) This advertisement would be extremely successful as it not only showcases an emotional

aspect by creating a lure of status or grandeur of attaining a tool to be greater than others in a form but also an entertainment value by giving a Hollywood film fantasy

scenario of a classic win.
