2016 Super Boat International World Champions Named

Introduction Involved in the direct marketing industry for more than two decades,

Russell “Rusty” Rahm serves as president and chief executive officer of Leading Edge Technology Strategies (LETS) in Shawnee, Kansas. Passionate about boat racing, Rusty Rahm owns Wake Effects, a water sports apparel and equipment retailer, and joined the CMS Offshore Racing Team for the 2016 Super Boat International season.

At the 2016 Key West World Championship in November, Team Wake Effects took first place in the Superboat Unlimited class. The overall competition featured 43 boats, which participated in three days of racing. Team Wake Effects won for the first time, with Mr. Rahm driving and Jeff Harris as the throttleman. After the first day, the team sat in sixth place, but by the end of the third day, they were in first, going on to take home double points to secure the title.

Team Wake Effects will not compete in all of the Super Boat International races during the 2017 season.
