Why are we always talking about BAPTISM?

Because we want you to be SAVED, and go to heaven.

And because some teach that baptism for the forgiveness of sins is not necessary for salvation.

“you have known the sacred writings that are able to instruct you for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.”

What does the BIBLE teach about what is necessary for my SALVATION?

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him may not perish but may have eternal life.”

Baptism is a transliteration of a Greek word meaning ‘immersion or submersion’.

What is the purpose of baptism?

“The one who believes and is baptized will be saved; but the one who does not believe will be condemned.”

To me, there is a clear connection between baptism and salvation based on the previous scriptures.

For the forgiveness of sins (Acts 2.38).

Salvation (Mark 16.16).

Into Christ (Romans 6.3).



This excludes...

being baptized to please one’s parents or friends.



This excludes...

being baptized because one thinks they are already saved (a public confession of faith).



This excludes...

being baptized to join a local church.


3) The proper AUTHORITY.



“baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” (Matthew 28.19).



“Be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ” (Acts 2.38).

Do you know that you are guilty of sin and are facing God’s wrath?

Are you ready to repent of your sin?

Will you confess that Jesus is the Christ the Son of God?

Are you ready to be baptized in the name of Jesus for the forgiveness of your sins?

If you have been baptized was it baptism that saves?
