Symbols & Objects1. Star of David: The

symbol of the Jews, the triangle pointing up represents pointing up to God, and the triangle pointing down represent pointing down to us

2. Kippah: It signifies that human beings are beneath or dependent on God, worn by men and women, and some Jews wear it all the time, some do and some don’t at all

3. Tallit: Worn during morning prayers, worn for Bar/Bat Mitzvah, and the string hanging down from it is called fringes

4. Tefillin: To show God your thoughts and actions, you wear a box around your head and wrap one box on your arm, there are two boxes in total

where Jews pray and there are no pictures inside cause only believe in one God

3. Israel: It’s where the first Jewish community began, where the Western Wall is, and where famous synagogue’s are

Celebrations & Holidays1. Chanukah : It takes

eight days to celebrate. Light one candle each night, and say a Jewish prayer after lighting a candle

2. Passover : Celebrated on 15th day of Jewish month Nissan, Passover means to Passover, to Pass Through, or spare

3. Rosh Hashanah : It takes two days to celebrate, using the Shofar (ram horn), and it’s the Jewish New year

4. Yum Kippur : It takes 25 hours to celebrate, most important holiday for Jewish year, and same as Shabbat (do no work)
