Introduction

• India’s population (totaling 1.08 billion) is highly involved in internet use.

• Large numbers of potential consumers from diverse cultures, there is little research on the underlying characteristics that impel these different groups to buy online.

• Investigation is thus required web site design elements with respect to trust, satisfaction and loyalty in India.

Cultural Factors

• Power distance refers to the extent to which a society accepts unequal distributions of power in organizations and institutions.

• In feminine societies there is an emphasis on quality of life and relationships.

• Cultures that focus on material success and

assertiveness are considered more masculine in orientation.

Important Criteria

There are four main important criteria

Web Design

• Term web design is normally used to describe the design process relating to the client side design of a website

• The planning and creation of websites includes the information architecture, user interface, site structure, navigation, layout, colors, fonts.

• The local web site will be preferred over the foreign web site of the same online vendor for the following specific design

– (a) menu layout– (b) access to product information– (c) professional design of the web site– (d) logical presentation of product information– (e) screen design– (f) navigation

Trust

• Trust is both and emotional and logical act.

• Emotionally, it is where you expose your vulnerabilities to people, but believing they will not take advantage of your openness.

• Logically, it is where you have assessed the probabilities of gain and loss, calculating expected utility based on hard performance data.

• There are a number of different ways we can define trust. Here are the dimensions of trust and consequent definitions

• Trust in the customer brand relationship

• Boost your credibility as an expert in your filed

• Make use of your blog to engage with customers

E - Satisfaction• It is a measure of how products and services supplied by

a company meet or surpass customer expectation.

• Customer satisfaction provides a leading indicator of consumer purchase intentions and loyalty.

• The importance of customer satisfaction diminishes when a firm has increased bargaining power

E - Loyalty• Loyalty is strictly interpersonal and only

human being can be the object of loyalty.

• It is a measure of how products and services supplied by a company meet or surpass customer expectation.

• The online loyalty may be defined as a deeply held intension to repurchase a product and service consistently from an e - vendor in the future.
