Top U.S. Hiking Destinations

Avid hikers often choose vacation destinations
that offer exciting or beautiful trails. Hikers
interested in seeing the best of what the United
States has to offer should be sure to visit the
following hiking hotspots:
With easy access to the John Muir Trail, Dipsea
Trails, and Mount Tamalpais National Park, San
Francisco offers a wealth of hiking opportunities
for explorers of all levels. The city, too, has
plenty to offer, making it a top destination for
those traveling with non-hiking enthusiasts.
San Francisco
The park boasts 800 miles of trails and allows
overnight visits for properly permitted hikers.
With the same landmass as the state of Rhode
Island, this park offers enough room to explore
and get a sense of wilderness.
Yosemite National Park
Appalachian Trail
Spanning the Eastern United States
from Georgia to Maine, this trail offers
dozens of access points and is known for
being well marked.
Glacier National Park
This Montana park offers 730 miles of trails, plus
views of stunning mountains and lots of wildlife.
