The NoseGeneration 2 Part 1-

Hello and welcome back to the Legrand Legacy! Thanks for not giving up on this even though I take forever to update. I’m finally getting to the ideas that have been in conception since the twins were toddlers, so I’m pretty excited.

“You’re rambling.”“Hey, glimpse. I haven’t seen your kind since Keika moved in.”“She doesn’t approve of us. Anyway, you aren’t planning on letting another five months lapse before your next update, are you?”“Even my sims nag me…”

So, like I said, welcome back! Last time was boring old college that I should have squished down into one update. There was vile grape juice, maxing of skills, and romance. I think that is all that really needs to be said about college so, I’m ready to jump in!

But before we drop in on the main legacy let’s stop by Brielle and Anton’s place. The siblings are rooming together for now.

“Brielle, do you still think about Ed and Francois?”“Sometimes,” Brielle said while idly drumming the counter with her fingers. “Well, a lot more than sometimes.”“What do you think about trying to find them?”“The police haven’t had any luck, I doubt we could do much.”

“True, but the police are limited by the law.”A grin broke across Brielle’s face.

Hours later…“Okay,” Brielle said. “I’ve been working on the computer and network for awhile to conceal, and handle, what we’ve already been doing in the criminal career track. It should be easy to use it for personal matters as well. Though, I don’t know how our boss will feel about us taking off on our own.”“That’s fine, I’ve been planning to leave for awhile. You coming?”“Naturally. I’m ready to follow a better Criminal Mastermind.” She elbowed him. “The Nose!”“Haha, very funny.” The doorbell sounded.“I forgot. We’ll have to get back to this later.” Anton said.

“Hi Claudio, I’m glad you made it! Hope’s already here. She’s in the kitchen with Anton.”“I’ve missed you.”“Yeah, I’ve missed being science partners, too. I think we should head inside now, though.”

“It’s been awhile since we’ve all been together,” Claudio said.“Yeah, I’ve missed it,” said Hope.

“So, Anton,” Hope continued. “What have you been up to since you left college.“Brielle and I have been working out our career.”“That sounds fascinating!”

“Oh, and you, Claudio. What have you been up to?”“I’ve been settling back into the neighborhood.”“Yes, well what I really want to know is if you like anyone. Come on, you have to have a girlfriend.”

“Um… I…”Brielle giggled. “You don’t have to answer her. She just likes being in the middle of everything.”“Do not, right Anton?”Anton shoved his face with food so that he didn’t have to answer.Hope huffed.

The group dispersed, and Claudio helped Brielle with the dishes.“Hey, Claudio, you seem down.”“Oh, it’s okay. I’m fine.”“OK.”

“Hey, I know what we can do!”

“Dancing?”“Yup! Doesn’t it just feel amazing!”“I’ve... Never really been good…”Brielle giggled.

“Here, follow me. I’ll teach you,” She grinned.“Oh. Okay.”

“Anton, I have to admit that I was worried. I thought, when you didn’t call, that you weren’t going to call. And I really wanted you to call. Now I’m rambling…. Um….”

“Hope?”

“Hmm?”

“I love you too.”

After their guests left the siblings met up in the living room.“Okay, Brielle, I’m putting you in charge of hacking the police station and finding any and all information they have on Ed and Francois. I’m sure they have leads that they couldn’t follow.”Brielle giggled. “Sounds like fun! I’ll get on it!”

The next day.“Anton I copied over the data on the twins. There isn’t much. It seems like a typical runaway.”

“Set it aside for now, and look at it later with fresh eyes. Right now I’m working on finding us some jobs since we need money. And I’m going to need your help to make them work.”“I definitely need a break from all those words.”“I thought you might. There are also several people that want to join us from our old crew. We’re turning out to be quite the operation.”

Weeks passed by and the siblings were swiftly becoming notorious in their underground.“Anton, you’ve been sitting there all day.” Brielle laughed.“I know, there’s just been so much I have to do.”“Yeah, like greet Hope.”“What? She’s here already?”Brielle nodded.

Anton dressed and ran down the stairs. He jabbed at the logs in the fire place, trying to think of what to tell her.“Anton, is everything alright. I mean, you seem troubled lately.”

“I’m sorry Hope. I’ve been busy lately. It isn’t a reason. An excuse really.”“I’m just glad you made time for me.”“Of course I did, I love you.”“I love you too.”

“Those two can be so mushy!” Brielle chimed.“Don’t you think it was wrong to eavesdrop on them.”“Eh, he’s my brother. He’ll get over it. Anyway, come on.”

“I’m glad you’ve been my friend! My only friends have been my siblings before, so it’s been sweet!” Brielle said.“Yeah, it’s nice to spend time with you.”

“In fact I like spending time with you more than other people.”

“And, um, I want to keep spending time with you, and um…”

Brielle wrinkled her eyebrows. “So… what are you saying?”

“I like you. More than a little. A lot.”

“You like me?” Brielle giggled.

“That didn’t turn out at all like I planned it.”

“Really? How did you plan it?”

“Well, a lot more romantic. And…”

“And what?” She asked drawing closer.

Claudio pulled her in.

“So, I guess it’s time for me to go.” Hope said, getting up off the couch.“Wait.” Anton said.

“Please don’t ever leave me.”

“I think that line’s been used before, but I don’t care!” Hope said, voice slightly muffled.

After the guests left…I’m going to have to tell Hope what I’ve been up to pretty soon. Not looking forward to that. What will she think?

“ANTON ANTON AAAANNNTOOOOOONNN!!!!”“What is it? Aren’t you supposed to be sleeping?” In truth he was happy for the distraction.

“I was looking at the information about Ed and Francois again, and I found something!” She said quickly.

“Come on, come on, COME ON!!!!”“I’m coming, calm down.”

“Okay so, you know how they just sort of disappeared?”“Yeah, it was typical of running away. What’s the big deal?”“Well they completely disappeared. Off the grid disappeared. People who run away leave a trail. The twins have none. We’ve been look at this all wrong. They didn’t run away, they ran to somewhere.”

“That makes a difference?”“It makes a big difference. The reason we can’t find them is because they already had a destination in mind.”“Oh, so that means we’ve been looking in the wrong places. The police and us have been looking for a place where someone would go if they had nowhere else. They have a place. The problem is, where?”“Well, someone did claim to have seen them at Crypt O Night Club a while back. The police discredited it because they thought it was too far away. They were making too many assumptions, I think.”“Good job, Brielle.”

Not too much later…“So tonight is the final stages of Bluewater’s Recipe. Malcom Landgraab still wants us to investigate the problems in his vacation properties. I think he’s just paranoid, but he’s willing to pay out quite a bit.”“Anton, I think it’s funny.”“Hmm? That we help people, but the police are on our backs?”

“That and.”“Landgraab can wait a bit while we take care of the ‘Not so Pleasantview’ Case. And what Brielle?”

“I think it’s funny that you use the pseudonym I gave you, since I was teasing.”Anton laughed.“It just fits so well.”

“Okay, so is ‘The Nose’ ready to head out, then.” Brielle laughed.

“Yes he is.” Anton said all dramatic like, which sent Brielle into another fit of giggles.

“Bo!”

“Bo?”

“There you are. What’ve you been up to, oh wonderful daughter of mine?”“I know you have something you want to say, so just spill.”

“Well, you know I don’t like to get all in your business…”“Mom, what?”Titania sighed. “What’s been going on between you and your brother? I don’t think you’ve talked since he left for college.”

“I’m still pissed at him for breaking Charnell’s heart.”Titania scrunched up her nose. “That’s seriously what this is all about? That was years ago.”

“Mom, you just don’t get it.”“Really? I think I understand pretty well. You enjoy being mad and don’t let things go.”“Mom, look…”

Titania cut her off.“Bo, you do realize that Puck and Charnell just got married, right? In fact they’ve been together since they started college.”

Bo blinked at her.

“I have some errands to run, so I’ll leave you be. Have a good day.”Titania walked off.

Mom can be so infuriating. The worst part is that she has mastered the art of being right.

Meanwhile I’m good at being an idiot.

Now I’m going to have to apologize to Puck. Life sucks.

“… also there have been reports of attacks in Takemizu Village. People say it is some sort of animal. The Victim’s testimonies aren’t exactly reliable because they are all mentally unstable homeless people. While authorities believe it to be just an hallucination, they still urge people to travel smart.”

“More local news, The new prominent family in the community has held a double wedding! The Heiress Charnell of the Legrand family married Puck Summerdream. Jury’s still out on whether that’s his actual name or not. And if he’s lying about his name, what else is he lying about? Full exposé at 9. Charnell’s sister Desiree married some random guy named Bobby. It was a nice event for the community.”

“Even better was the wedding of Keika and Dez White! It was the perfect wedding, beautiful. Picturesque, and the best celebration the neighborhood has seen in years! These two are…”

*click*

“Stupid TV announcer, what does she know? My wedding was perfect.”

Does she even know how much work planning my wedding was? It was perfect.

“Hey sweetheart, what’s eating you?”“Stupid TV. My wedding was perfect.” Desi said providing no explanation.Bobby put his arms around her and pulled her off the piano bench.

“Darling, you’re getting too wrapped up in what other people say. It’s okay.”

“I love you, and that is perfect. So nothing else matters.”

Desi half smiled.Yes, but would you still say that if you knew? If you knew that the only reason we’re together is because I used a voodoo doll on you?

“Charnell dear, I don’t mean to be a nag, but, as heiress, there are some expectations. And I would really like some grandchildren. I really really would like grandchildren.”

“Don’t worry mom. I can assure you that Puck and I are working on that.”“Oh, that’s wonderful.”

“So what did your mom want?”“She gave me the whole grandchildren shpeel.”“Oh, well that must have been wonderful.”

“I told her it was fine, but I can’t help but worry.”“Why?”“I’m heiress. It’s sort of a big deal.”

Puck pulled her close.“These things take time. You worry too much. ”

“I hate answering doors. We should get a butler.”

“Hey.” Bo glared at her.“PUCK! YOUR SISTER’S HERE!” Desi then left the room.

“Bo! It’s been so long.”“Yeah,” she said tersely.“Would you like something to eat? I’m starving.”

“So, what have you been up to since I left?” Puck asked.“Not much,” Bo replied.

“Oh, the doorbell. We sure are popular tonight.”

The door opened on its own.“Oh, hey Brielle.”“Hey.”

“Are you hungry? Puck’s in the kitchen.”“Actually I can’t stay long. Anton and I have a plane to catch for a job. I just came to let you know, and tell you that, if you need us, to call my cell.”

“Be safe and have fun, then.”“Thanks, see you soon.”

Brielle left and Puck came out of the kitchen, trailed by his sister.“Hey, hon,” Charnell said. “I’m going to bed now.”“I’ll be up soon.”

Charnell tromped up the stairs.

“So, Bo, I have a feeling you came for more than food and small talk.”“Yeah, umm… I’ve been treating you like an idiot, but you’re not. I’m the idiot.”“Wait, are you actually apologizing?”

Bo sighed. “Yeah.”“Bo, my stubborn old goat sister is apologizing.”She glared at him. “Yes.”

“I’ve missed you, sis.”“Um… me too.”

“But if you say one word of this to anyone, especially mom, I’ll hurt you.”“Naturally.”

“Okay, I’m ready to ditch this place.”“See you around.”“You too.”

“Anton, are you sure this is where your informant said to meet? It looks deserted.”“Pessimistic today, aren’t we?”“A ten hour flight tends to have that effect on people. Why hasn’t it on you?”

“This information is just very important.”“Okay, whatever. I’m going to call Charnell and let her know we made it. Do you think I’ll wake her? I don’t know. Stupid time difference.”“I’m going to check over here.”“Hmm… answering machine.”

Brielle screamed. Anton spun around and saw her fall to the ground. He moved to run to her, but he was caught by something.

Ed?

*crackle*

So … good… can’t… stop.

“I…drank it all…I… I killed him. Wait… Anton?”

“No. It can’t be. Anton you weren’t supposed to be here. I’ve been hunting a homeless man. He should have been here. Not you. I…”

“Legacy blood. It’s like candy to you monsters. You vampires are so predictable.”Edouard leaped to his feet.

“I suppose I shouldn’t complain.”

“Makes my job easier.”

*thump*“It’s not my job to protect you from vampire hunters. You’re lucky I chose tonight to follow you.”

“Ed, thank goodness.”“Francois.” Ed said, voice trembling. “I was worried when you took longer than normal. Whoa, what’s with the bodies?”“Only one. The girl’s still alive,” Danielle said.

“I’m leaving. I don’t clean up your guy’s messes.”

“So, what happened?”“I…Anton…I didn’t…Oh, this is so messed up.”“Calm down. You go back home, I’ll take care of this.”

“Hey, Mom. Listen to this strange message.”

**girl’s scream**soft thump**breaking crackle**

“Where’s it from?” Anette asked, worried.Charnell checked.

“Brielle’s cell.”

“The identity of the death in Takemizu two nights past has finally been released to the public.”

“Anton Legrand has been confirmed dead. While the police haven’t released cause of death, many believe it was the rumored creature of Takemizu.”

“His sister, Brielle Legrand, who had arrived in Takemizu with him just that night is still missing. Her smashed cell phone was recovered on the scene. Police…”

“I think it’s time we all went to bed.”

The phone rang.“I’ll get it.” Charnell said.

“Hello? … This is her… okay.”

“Are you sure?... Are you absolutely positive?”

The next morning…

“Have either of you seen Charnell?”“No, why?” Desi asked.“I can’t find her or Puck anywhere.”“Have you checked their room? Maybe they slept in.”

The room had been cleaned out.

There was a piece of paper on the pillow. Anette picked it up and read it.

Dear Mom,

I’m pathetic. I couldn’t tell you this in person. I just … didn’t want to see the disappointment in your eyes.

The person who called last night, it was the doctor. I asked him… well.

I … I can’t have children. I can’t fulfill my obligations. I hereby relinquish my position as heiress. I’m sorry Mom.

That about wraps up this chapter. Can you see why I’ve been putting it off? Sorry It ran a bit long. There was just a lot to say, and not a lot that could be cut out.Anyway, don’t forget to look at Keika’s Extra Special Wedding Update. It has a much lighter tone than this chapter did.
