DESCRIPTION

If your basement walls are leaking, you have water coming into your basement through your basement walls. First, where are you basement walls leaking? Typically, there are only so many places water can leak into your basement: water leaking in from the window well water leaking in from over the top of the foundation water leaking in from a basement wall crack water leaking from a tie rod water leaking from a pipe penetration water leaking from porous concrete water leaking from a mortar joint water leaking from a cove joint (where the basement wall and floor meet) If water is coming in through a crack, you want to use a concrete repair kit. If water is coming in through the pores of your concrete (no sign of a crack), you want to seal your basement walls using a penetrating concrete sealer.

Basement Walls - Porous Concrete (No Cracks)

• Foundation Armor sealers are penetrating sealers and work below the surface. The Armor S1000 and S2000 (most popular basement sealers) react with the free lime and calcium naturally found in concrete. This reaction forms a crystalline barrier within the pores of the concrete. Once dry, this barrier stops water migration up to 100 PSI and vapor migration up to 0.015 WVT. They are the best concrete sealers on the market.

sealers.– Dilute the Armor S1000 sealer with 3 parts water.– Using a garden sprayer, apply first coat to the concrete.

Immediately following the first coat, apply a second coat.
