Front cover of Q magazine The title and Masthead are eye catching to the reader because it is in the top left hand corner- this is one of the first places a reader would look at. It is big and bright which also helps to catch attention

There is a good contrast of colours used which would help important parts of the magazine stand out. Contrast is used well with combinations of red and white, black and white, red and black, gold and black, and gold and white

Good contrast is also used on the clothes that the Arctic Monkeys are wearing. This is so they stick to the colours used on the front cover

Good use of headings as they are big and bold which helps them stand out towards the reader

Good use of cover lines as they help to attract the readers by the use of bright colours. These are used to help tempt the customer into buying the magazine
