COVER ANNOTATIONS

→ I will use the idea of “highlighting” the cover lines in a neutral colour to give them more prominence

→ The main cover line will be in a outstanding colour.

→ The cover picture has to be funny and natural at the same time

My magazine will surely have a cover layout similar to the NME one.

→ I will surely advertise extra contents in the issue such as posters and free download

→ The colour scheme has to be simple but it has to attract the buyers

→ The masthead won`t be covered as in NME because my magazine won’t be famous so it has to be recognized

CONTENT PAGE ANNOTATIONS

→ The content page is really appealing and it catches the eye of the reader.

→ It has many pictures and the written part aren’t that wide. I think I will do the same, more or less trying to take pictures that could attract my reader.

→ I will anyway give to the main cover story the bigger picture

→ I like the idea of putting the numbers of the pages on the corners of the pictures related to the article

→ I will add an editor note/letter

→ I think I will put a “plus” section but I will change the layout since I think that the one used in NME isn`t that visible.

DOUBLE PAGE SPREAD ANNOTATIONS

→ The double page spread is really attractive. I will put a big picture related to my article on the left page.

→ The title covers the top of the right pages but it also goes on the left one. I think that i will spread it more on the left page.

→ The colours recall the main colours of the picture. I will use this because I think it helps to guide the reader’s look and it also helps to give unity to the double page spread.

→ I will also put other picture on the right side

MAGAZINE GENRE:INDIE

The genre I've chosen is the same of NME. It’s also quite popular according

to my target audience research. It’s a young genre addressed to young

people so it has to be fresh and funny and as closest as possible to the reader Exclusive interviews and following tours as NME does will be a strong USP

for my magazine

I’m quite unsure yetof my magazine’s name. These

are just ideas but my final choice could be a complete different name.

PHOTOS

The picture I will take will be natural and the mise en scene won’t be too studied

I will give old-looking effects similar to the ones that Instagram makes

The poses will be very simple as if the subject has been caught in an ordinary action

FUN, YOUNG, RETRO are my key words
