Summary of our idea• Our music video will be shot in redundant places i.e. In a house, oustide etc.• The music video will be about two best friends.• The entropic part of our music video will be focused around costumes and makeup.• There will be a car scene to make the video fit in with the R’n’b genre to appeal to our target audience.• There will be a champagne scene which will connote friendship and fun.

Research

We used ‘Youtube’ a lot to find different R’n’b videos to compare and contrast with our video. We looked at videos like Rihanna ‘Rude boy’ and came to the conclusion that most R’n’b music videos include dancing so we are going to make this an element in our video.

We looked at film makers and the process they go through to make their films for example Steven Spielberg, his films cover many different themes which is something we will take into consideration as the more different themes you include the wider and larger your audience.

We researched into synaesthesia. This was useful as it made us realise we need to present our music video in lots of different ways to attract different types of people. For example some people prefer visuals but some prefer sound etc. So we need to make all the different ways of interpreting the video equally as good.

We looked at the history of music videos and how they have changed over the years. We looked at how there are already many videos that fall into the same category and are actually very similar, this showed us that we needed to make our music video fresh and different and that we needed to make sure that there was a gap in the market for our video.

We looked at entropic music videos for example Lady Gaga ‘Paparazzi’. We might include some entropic elements in our video to make it seem fun and different.

We looked at digipaks in the same genre that we have chosen to work in, we looked at how the digipaks, adverts and videos all link in with each other and share the same colours styles and fonts etc. We will be taking this into consideration and doing the same with our video.

This video, Nicki minaj ‘check it out’ is similar to our music video as we want ours to have some entropic elements, however our video will be slightly more redundant and more realistic, we also will not be using the ‘sci-fi’ genre.

These clothes are similar to the ones we would like the actors to wear in our music video as they are similar to the clothes our artist would be seen wearing, although we are going to adapt this idea and make the clothes slightly more entropic and girly, e.g. Huge eyelashes and lots of colourful clothes.
