I have devised a PowerPoint to highlight the main areas that my product is likely to be featured. I have also included other popular areas for advertisement and included my promotional package, as this gives an insight into the different degrees of advertising and how effective they can be.

I feel as though this will make my product look a lot more professional and really brings to life the promotional aspects of the music industry and the lengths some artists go to, to ensure that their product is featured for all to see effectively.

Where will my video feature?

Due to social media being such a major influence in todays society, YouTube will be a dominant platform used to promote my material due to it being incredibly successful with regards to the fact that millions of people visit the site on a daily basis to discover content similar to mine. Therefore I believe uploading my video to YouTube will give it chance to thrive.

VEVO, a media corporation that uses YouTube to distribute its own material, will also be used to broadcast my video. This is due to the organisation predominantly revolving around music distribution, and is known for broadcasting successful artists music videos and other products. I feel as though just the sheer fact that my video will be associated with this particular channel will make it look a lot more desirable to the audience, increasing the amount of views it has and the popularity of the video; contributing to its success.

I may also look into featuring my music video on MTV’s channel with regards to the fact that it’s demographic is targeted at one that is similar to mine. Despite the fact that MTV doesn’t specialise in predominantly Pop Rock content, this would act in my artists advantage due to it appearing unique and standing out in comparison to the others featured on a daily basis.

I feel as though iTunes is the perfect place to feature my content with regards to the fact that technology has become an overruling factor in todays society. MP3 format is becoming massively popular due to the fact that is provides audiences with ease of access.Featuring my material on this site in particular will enhance it popularity in relation to the fact that mass amounts of people, with different interest, visit the site on a daily basis. Some visit with the intentions of trying something new, and others visit to expand their already existing collection of Pop Rock music. I feel as though my material appeals to both of these audience due to the diversity of it.

Magazine Advert

My magazine is likely to feature in a Pop Rock music magazine that is similar to NME or Q. I feel as though these will be the most effective place to feature the ad for my content due to the fact that the demographics for this magazine are similar to that of my music video therefore I feel as though it will attract a large amount of people as a result.Also, if people in the NME/Q demographic are not specifically interested in my content, they may be encouraged to view it due to it being featured in a magazine they are interested in, therefore influencing their actions.

HMV / Music Stores

In its physical form, my digipak will be featured in music stores such as HMV and other shops that specialise in the sales of physical music. Once again my music will be featured in the Pop/Rock section of the store, thus meaning it will attract those with a pre-exisitng interest in Pop Rock music and also possibly attract those that are looking for a change in relation to what they listen to and may choose my material with regards to the fact that it is mixture of two genres, Pop and Rock. Meaning it is not massively different from mainstream music, but still has a unique elements to it.
