1918 NEVA was founded in 1918 as a small pharmaceutical laboratory called RAVE. The first factory was built in 1930 as a direct result of business success with cosmetics and pharmaceutical products.

1947

In 1947, RAVE merged with the Croatian affiliate of Beirsdorf AG (BDF) into a new company called NEVA. At that time, NEVA started licensed production of BDF’s wide portfolio of products. Furthermore, the production of products from well-known companies like L’Oreal, Odol, Helena Winterstein, Sara Lee, Woltz, Mäurer & Wirtz etc. is a significant part of NEVA’s history.

1978In 1978 PLIVA, the largest pharmaceutical company in the region, acquired NEVA. Therefore, NEVA’s products benefited from implementation of pharmaceutical procedures for the next 25 years.

2000

In 2000, NEVA started private label projects that replaced almost 50 years of cooperation with BDF. NEVA's new private label products benefited greatly from co-operation with BDF as well as from the experience in production according to pharmaceutical standards, with special focus on R&D and QC.

2003In 2003, NEVA became a part of ATLANTIC GRUPA. This change enabled NEVA entry into new markets and provided a possibility for further growth. That growth resulted in a new, cutting edge factory in 2009.

Neva

Neva received the first ISO 9001 quality management system certificate back in 1999. In the following year NEVA received the ISO 14001 certificate for its environmental management system. This made Neva the first company in Croatia with these two systems integrated. Both certificates were awarded to Neva by the world-famous Det Norske Veritas (DNV). At the beginning of 2012 Neva was certified by the Croatian Ministry of Health as meeting the requirements from the standard guidelines for good manufacturing practice (GMP) in the field of cosmetics - ISO 22716. In 2013 Atlantic Grupa implemented an integrated certification project of different standards for all of its members. The project was implemented in cooperation with the DNV certification company that issued NEVA’s certificates.
