LOCOG Obligations to the IOC- Medical Services

During the Games period LOCOG is responsible for:

― Medical Services is responsible for the medical care and health planning for all client groups associated with the Games

― Coordination of delivery of medical care inside ALL Olympic & Paralympic venues

― Negotiate appropriate medical care outside venues

Air, Food and Water

• Recognise the added risks to air, food and water

• Address safety, quality and supply at Games time

• LOCOG’s medical services will act as liaison with the relevant authorities to facilitate planning

• Games time daily reports on issues related to air, food and water

LOCOG will collect data re communicable diseases through medical encounter sheets

This data will be shared with HPU

Planned to accommodate HPU in Polyclinic in Stratford

Knowledge about “hot spots” in the general population
