CONTRAINDICATIONSLicorice might interfere with blood pressure control during and after surgery. Stop taking licorice at least 2 weeks before a scheduled surgery.
It may effect the kidneys also .so dont use it during kidney problems.
It may lower the potassium levels in the blood. Thus causing hypokalemia.
Licorice has the ability to store water in the body, thus it can make congestive heart failure worse.
