Why Energy Efficiency?
• Energy efficiency improvements reduce energy use and produce long-term savings on energy bills.
• Also provide other benefits such as: – Extend equipment life– Reduce maintenance– Improve comfort and productivity– Increase safety– Protect the environment
The Sure Bet Program
• The Sure Bet Program offers cash incentives and technical assistance to NV Energy commercial electric customers to help improve energy efficiency and reduce energy costs.
• Sure Bet incentives help reduce initial project
costs = Better Return on Investment (ROI).

• Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) on Well/Booster Pumps
• Pivot Irrigation Systems
• New Nozzles
• New Low Pressure Regulators
• New Sprinklers
• New Gaskets
• VFDs on Product Storage Air Handling Units

• Incentives paid on a Custom Basis– Some component measures may be made prescriptive in 2015
• Based on the Annual Energy (kWh) Saved
• Incentives: – $0.10/kWh for On-Peak – $0.05/kWh for Non On-Peak
• On-peak period:• July – September, 1pm – 6pm (M-F)• Oct – June, 5pm – 9pm (7 days/week)
– Non On-peak period – all other hours

• By lowering overall loads you can install a smaller renewable system
The RenewableGenerations Programs
• Solar Electric, Wind Power, Hydro Power programs opened August 13th, 2014
• Solar Heating (Space, Pool, Water) still open
• Incentives based on system size
• Under Net Metering, system must be sized to not produce more than your annual electric consumption.
• Maximum project size for incentives is 500 kilowatts.
